earning time rdecreases when opening tt

Ok PWI, i understand you need some countermessures to prevent over botting (with your own bot!) but why PWI, why you take my earning time just by talking to a pillar to open tt? xD

What are your guys experiences with earning time?

    My experience was that i never noticed it was there except for the complaints in the forums.

    If you are spending your time really really efficiently, 8 hours of earning time will translate to 10-12 hours of play time maybe ? I wasnt so extremely efficient and spend a bit more time hanging in the streets of archosaur, i could start playing at 10AM and do everything i wanted to do till 2AM while eating fastfood behind my PC and not be bothered by earning time.
    Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.

    hmm, well, lucky you xD
    with my current equip i need about 20 min for a tt3-2, it takes however something around 25 min earning time each run, so thats 16 runs a day...i dont know, maybe its me not having a live, but i could do more :o

    I do not believe you can lose more earning time than real time.

    Are you sure you arent theory crafting ? Have you actually ran out of earning time without spending it on botting ?

    i did run out of earning time multiple times now by only running tt.
    and the reason why im opening this thread is exactly because i do loose earning time just by opening tt, which is time i dont count as running time.

    so no, im not only theorycrafting here xD

    Whether you count the opening as part of the run is kind of irrelevant......because the game counts it. As far as the game is concerned as soon as you enter and are in motion, the run is ongoing and you get deducted.
    Though, I don't know how you burn 5mins per run just opening unless you are spending 5 mins auto-attacking the invisible mob for chi or walking around in a circle for 5 mins. It takes less than a minute to walk from entrance, go inside and open.
    Enter with your farming char and stand still to pause earning time while you get openers inside.

    ah, good idea, that should give me a few extra mins.
    Though, I don't know how you burn 5mins per run just opening unless you are spending 5 mins auto-attacking the invisible mob for chi or walking around in a circle for 5 mins. It takes less than a minute to walk from entrance, go inside and open.

    this is exactly my problem. earning time doesnt stop, right after it started even if you dont do anything anymore. so just by clicking the pillar, i gotta wait like a min or so, just to have earning time settle down again.
    I know its all not much looking at one min there, or another there, but it all adds up, if i can save like another 2 min per run, i can do one more.

    However the fact that talking to a pillar to start a quest counts as earning time, i think is stupid. what does that have to do with stopping ppl from botting too long hours? >.<

    When you enter just have your main char sit or meditate and see if that stops the timer.

    You could just like, go outside or read a book after you've spent 8 hours of the day at your PC.

    I used to save game activities which aren't really affected by earning time until after I consumed it. Stuff like dailies and the cube which are quest driven than drop driven. Funny how I never had an issue botting away all my earning time and still got what I wanted.

    If people are having issues with earning time then they are not managing it properly.

    As I posted on another thread:

    I have no complaints about the earning time. Even playing my main for about 20 hours on a day I was snowed in at home, I did all my dailies, helped faction members, did FWS a few times, farmed for items to make coin in TT, Lunar, etc, did odd quests here and there, I still had time left of the 8 hours of earning time.

    im starting to think its all bs i mean the value of things like dq and drops are practicaly wothless now so why do we need earning time?

    And why do we still have repair bills other arc games i play seem not to have this at all?

    I think they cop out alot of its a china thing but im starting to feel its a money money song playing in the back ground i want your money lolb:laugh
