Should I change from PvE to PvP server?

Hello everyone,

As there is no way to change characters between servers, I stumbled up a decisive question: Should I abbandon all the things I have achieved in a PvE server in order to move to a PvP one?

I started thinking about that after getting really tired with the lack of decent PvP in my server (Dreamweaver), spirit of competition and the many carebears players that know no other thing aside from killing mobs and farming all day.

Its true, I dont have much on my server, roughly 2 months of gameplay and maybe 300m in items. But it feels bad to leave all behind, then realising I made a terrible decision.

So, opinions on the server change?

PS: No, I dont have time to dedicate on two different servers.

Play around on a PvP server first. See if it's anything like what you're hoping for and can meet your needs. If it matches, make the switch. If not, you can try the other one or stay on Dreamweaver.

    Why not?

Just wait with the whole trading x on DW for x on different server posts. If you don't like the new one, you could always come back.

Never having been on a PvP server, i wonder whats the difference ?
There is white\red named PvP on archosaur in silver pool for those who choose to go there.

Are there much more people going to such PvP areas on PvP servers or is it about wanting to be a dickhead and killing lesser geared innocent civilians who are just doing their quests ? (In that case you can call people carebears, but i simply call those dickheads. Now that i think of it, i have been on a PvP server when i played WoW in a distant past. Yep, there were lots of dickheads)
Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.

Ultimately you won't know until you try it out.

Over a year ago I decided to go to DW for a break. It was cool, nice helpful people, found a great guild etc. The population felt huge compared to LC. My experience was that generally, people there were better at pve, which kinda makes sense. Now having said that, I never got to endgame, so I didn't go to TW. I did go to NW and did pretty well for my level and gear.

I quit completely when the +10 orb fiasco went down and only just recently came back to LC. Lots of things have changed since I last played and I'm still getting caught up on everything. With the level 95 pills, no hypers in FC etc, my past experiences are probably close to worthless.

There hasn't been any massive open map pvp / rpk on LC for 4 years or more, it's pretty much only Silver Pool, West Gate, and Primal World.

One thing's for sure though, it's easier than ever to level and gear up for free, so it can't hurt to try out a new server. I wouldn't try to trade accounts though just in case you don't like it. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!
