Has anyone tested to see if this reduction works against magic attacks as well as ranged attacks?

I could see dusks becoming a bit sturdier if it does indeed reduce damage from magic-based attacks as well.

I tested it in a duel (vs unarmed magic class), and it does reduce magic damage based on distance. Same for the reaper form. In PvE, I got the feeling it doesn't reduce magic attacks, but I can't say I really tested.

I wouldn't go all happy just yet, because a skill working in a duel doesn't mean it works in PvP, NW and/or TW as well.

This passive needs to be thoroughly tested it says reduce damage taken from ranged skills.

    - Blood of the Nightshade

Reduce damage taken from ranged skills by up to 45.3%. The further the attacker is, the more damage will be reduced.

○Demon: Increases critical chance by 1%.
●Sage: Increases maximum reduction to 46.9%.

People regard physical classes as melee range classes yes they have majority melee range but on PWI melee classes have ranged skills all of assasins primal attack skills have a range of 4.5 meters. Best way to test this is to test the damage done by primal skills from sin to duskblade before and during reaper form.

If it does reduce the damage then it should apply to other ranged skills that other melee classes have. b:laugh

Why primal skills from sin ? Any skill should work as long as it's fixed damage (unarmed using same skill every time, preferably no crit-changing buffs).

What I did for trying out with magic was simply cast the same skill on my Duskblade in duel, upclose, halfway and max range. With and without reaperform. I didn't really note down the figures or anything but with range the damage went down. Was at lvl7 passive and lvl4 reaperform and a magic class that hits high numbers even without weapon, so it's very obvious. If it works like that on magic, it should work like that on ranged skills from melee classes.

Ofc, there is a lot that can/should be tested. Like dot skills, from which range does damage start to be reduced, does the skill work the same in duel/NW/TW/open world, any difference on auto-attacks/skills. The most obvious would be that it starts reducing from 2.5m to archer max range, and thus reduces all damage of skills that aren't "melee" in their description even though at 4.5m it would be minimal.
