Poll: New UI... yay or nay...

This is not a complaint thread.


I personally can't stand the new UI, I think it is bulky and the "UI Size" button doesn't work anymore. I would love to have an option to switch to other UI's or even a more advanced option to create our own or use 3rd party UIs (like simular games) or even allow for the game to allow extreme customization of in game UI. What are you thoughts?
It's the end of PWI as we know it. Packs going to 50 cents jumped our economy up to 1mil per gold. It's over for non-cashoppers.

    I voted no, only because I can see how badly PWI would **** up being able to change interfaces, and I don't really want third party stuff that can then be taken away if that company decides to **** us over.

    I would like it if they would create an option you can apply in the patcher for what UI you wanted, then you don't have in-game changing causing who knows what issues. But if it was just HEY use this UI or this UI, then I can see it working.

    So more a "I do want it but my personal preference for such a thing isn't on the poll" than an actual no. I'm difficult.

    I honestly don't mind this new IU because it's similar in color and style to the UI they have before the Gensis expansion. All that green/blue hurt my eyes so I had switched back to the old UI. This one isn't so bad for me so it's fine.

    So... The thread title asks if one liked or not the new UI. Then the poll asks if one would like it to be customizable. Two different things.

    I liked the new UI and I would like it to be customizable, but, as Molniya said, the probability of **** ups would be too great.

    Third party stuff? God, no. We have enough problems as it is.

    In regard to switching to old UI they'd have to updae the old ones to include the new features. I don't see that happening.

    I didn't like it the first day, but now I got used to it so it's like whatever. I felt the same way with the previous UI we had. There are things I liked and disliked in previous UIs and this one is no different.

    It would be nice if it was customise-able but eh, at the end of the day I don't care too much because I got used to it xD

    I like it a lot, it's probably the best looking UI to date. Easy on the eyes, stylish, beautiful, kind of gives me the feeling of an old magical book. b:chuckle

    The only complaint I have is that because it was originally designed for Chinese characters, some of the buttons look too small (because they take much less space in writing) and there are anomalies sometimes... like the English text being too small and unreadable, or pointing out of the box. Nothing can be done about that I guess. :Z

    Meridian will take some time to get used to, but it's still much better than the green/aquamarine UI we had before.

    pan gu loves cash shoppers as much as he loathes pure farmers. that's why he cursed me with the lowest luck-index possible. my weapon needed 21 recasts for those meh adds, and the r9 ring refine ate over 10k mirages before i capitulated and orbed it from 0 to +11. you won this time pan gu! b:sad

    It makes no difference, changes happen (Like other STUFF) It would be NICE though if the Beginners intel was kept current. The corner map example still has the old look in the guide.....nothing like the new one (No PK toggle etc) on the newbie map. kthxb:thanks

    I play in window and in the new UI the squad menu doesn't fit in between my chat box and the thing on the top left with my hp/mp/chi and buffs (I'm blanking on the word) so that's kinda annoying

    Otherwise, it took a few days to get used to it but now i barely notice it

    I don't mind this new UI, already got used to it. The only thing that saddens me to no end is the horrible new char icon. It made my toons' faces look flat and ugly, some of them lopsided or/and pixelated.

    One thing I didn't like is the Expressions window. Too spread. Was nicer before.

    I had to do some adjustments to my toons due to this.

    That's, more or less, the only thing I truly dislike about this new UI. I'm not sure why they couldn't leave the icon as it was and simply remove the border around it? b:sad

    My Venomancer's icon looked really cute, now it sucks. :c

    I remember there was a thread about this new char icon and that the problem (also) was the unflattering lighting it has now... This new icon always has the same permanent lighting, no shadows, no day time change, unlike the dynamic old icon had.
    Plus, it is somewhat pixelated, and don't know how on earth they managed to make perfectly symmetric digital faces lopsided, but my fish now looks like she is smiling with one corner of the mouth b:puzzled
