Incorrect repair prices for dropped gear

We know the NPC value of dropped gear has been drastically lowered.
The NPC value of gear is always related to the current durability.
When an item is at 50% durability it will be worth 50% of its maximum NPC value.
Since the expansion patch when gear drops had their value drastically reduced the repair value and NPC value after repair is incorrect. The repair value is the old values while the NPC value (if repaired or not) is the new values. So for example a gear drop with 50% durability sells for 140 coins, the repair to 100% dura should be 140 coin( this is what is displayed), but it takes the old value of 7000-8000 from your inventory/bag, the final NPC value after repair is only 280 coins though.

In short: dropped gear that had its NPC value reduced takes the incorrect coin from your bag when repairing.

I did not notice this at all and just blithely continued to repair and decomp gear. I guess it's not too bad because I am getting the same number of stones for about half the net cost, but until I read your post I thought that chi stones were at a much cheaper price now.

Until this is fixed, I will have to just decomp the gear BEFORE it is repaired.

I wonder if the same thing happens when you use the "Fix All" feature? I'll have to check after maint is done.

    Good catch!
