Question about new chars/new zone

I recently created a couple new chars to take advantage of the levelling stones. Just in order to save a bit of time I logged in and went and got genies for the chars.

Now I read that ALL new chars (I don't recall it saying that it was only for new class chars) will start in the new zone.

Do you think that means, for my new chars I will now NOT start in the new zone because I already ran them to their starter cities to get the genies? If this is the case I will delete them all and start again, which of course is a bugger because I also sent those chars the dreamchaser packs already.

Thoughts?

I asked this in the maintenance thread but its lost way back in the pages.....

    More than likely they won't be in the new area, I would imagine, since they already have an area logged as "where is this character in the map". *taps chin* It's probably only characters that don't have an area logged that get sent to the new area.

    according to a post i read earlier of a person playing on china's version they were not lvl 20 and in a town or something, and it had a popup asking them if they would like to teleport to the new starting area.

    If you already logged on them, they won't be in the new area but will get a notice asking if you'd like to take them there. If you simply made the character but didn't actually log on with it, it will start in the new area.


    So in your case, they won't be in the new area unless you choose to let them be teleported there.
