ok so i see that in the quality corner, the PQ3 thread is being actively avoided by GMs. MY question is if they are not going to fix the public quest, why don't they make the mats available in forge or somewhere else? it is not very fair that an item you should be fully capable of farming is now relegated to a chance from a cash shop item.
it is even more cruel and disrespectful to the player base to let this problem go on for so long, they are eliminating every possible means to farm gear anymore if it is also available in the CS. they are effectively forcing us to play around in the cash shop to get an item that should be perfectly farmable. this is getting ridiculous.

Having a quest fail and forcing the player to retake it within what is it, 30 seconds or less? is hardly a definition of "working". While I would actively support farming it, its not exactly realistic that doing it 200+ times to get a ring will go perfect with no hic ups as a "working" quest would entail.
If they cant fix the quest, they should make it available in some other form. Even if its ridiculously hard. A guaranteed way to get something is much much better then some half working quest that may not produce any reward at all.

When you have to put 20-30mins into 1 Crystal that you might not even get and you need 200 or so for a pretty much guaranteed ring (Oh yeah and its not even 100% for the ring right?) it just destroys the whole sense of trying to achieve something and turns it into a test of stupidity really.
Its not like its tough to put the crystals in the TT forge or as an exchange for Warsong inscriptions or Basic Badges or 3000 raps/cannies. Even if its bound its an alternative. And a needed one at that.Crafting shiny things since 2008 b:laugh

exactly, how convenient that the quest stops working reliably in time for the new forges that upgrade the ring, making the price of the item skyrocket.
i mean really, if you wanna get technical they can't force us to anything, but what i meant was that we are pretty much forced to seek the cashed version of the ring because the old reliable version of the in-game event that awards the ring.... is not reliable for like a year now or so.
if PQ3 was that reliable (as in, bare minimum, just working properly....) then the cost of a those 2 rings would not be as high as they are.
the things that provide mats in game to make items are steadily being broken and left unfixed. yet there is never an issue getting the boutique to work properly, and if there was one, there would be a rollback(only if it impacts the company's ability to collect money).0 -
inb4 this thread gets closed by a mod for no reason, I completely agree that this is just another bad business practive PWE has done. Seriously they broke it awhile back and haven't bothered to fix it and we ALL know why. They want us to spend money. Real money to fill their pockets and this PQ was a way for people to avoid it. On a side note idk what other instances are like this but did anyone notice that in Wraithgate and Trench that there are mobs that now appear after you clear the area? I heard they were something from beta that suddenly came back after a recent patch...can they do nothing without breaking something else?0

Key mobs used to open doors. Most instances had doors that you had to open killing certain mobs, doors were removed somewhere around 2012 but the key mobs are still there.
@69 If you kill the tauroc that is standing on the left side, then you kill an adalwolf that is roaming before Hu's room, a group of taurocs will spawn at first room; one of these tauroc was the key mob to open 69's doors.
The other one is after serp's room, one of these things holding a blade but are casters/runners.

Yea i did know about this but its just funny because they WERE removed but due to another patch they found their way back...like they just hide in the code and pop up when the devs give us a patch lol.0 -

In 110 Runs i have gotten a total of 110 ccrystals.It has not bugged on me a single time.
(some people might call 110 out of 110 reliable O_O)
If you know how to do it right, there is no issue other than that the whole run takes about 2-3minutes longer due to retaking quests 6 or so times.
If you're too freaking lazy to farm in this game just say it outright, no need to hide behind bad excuses.0 -

the other thread i let die, because i was the only one in pwi that apparently had a problem with running pq3.
The issue i highlighted, still has no fix. Squad lead getting 0 contribution at the end.0 -
why was this post moved? not even a post to explain why it was moved....
this was not meant as a suggestion nor a report of a bug. this is a gripe about a part of the game that does not work reliably (contrary to your personal experiences, the event not working 10 of 10 for 90%+ of the population of the server is NOT considered reliable)
PQ3 should work just as smoothly as it did before it stopped working ...."reliably". anything less and you see how there is ZERO priority given to it, since it does not directly create any revenue.0 -

but there are more than enough people it does not work for, and that in and of itself implies instability.
it doesn't work as advertised, so they should fix it so EVERYONE can activate and receive rewards, alts or not.0 -
