Mysterious chest

Fail_BM - Raging Tide

So, I was doing BH eden for my cleric and I found this chest near to phlebo's spiral tower
I found this chest near to phlebo's spiral tower .

I know I have seen some more around the world while I was lvling, but I have never seen someone opening one of them, what is their use or if they are working on PWCN.

Does anyone know what's up with these chests?

it's just something that was never completely developed, and then forgotten. Random mobs and bosses had a small % chance to drop a key that would start a quest leading to the chests. I haven't heard of one of the keys dropping in about 4 years now, and suspect that either they aren't on the drop lists anymore, or that they are about as rare as some of the rare molds that would drop only from mobs. (the latter is more common since they changed the mold drops from the bosses in the instances, and moved them to the mobs.)

they should make it so fairy box keys open those =b we still get them from bh even though fairy boxes were taken out of tt >.< i heard they only drop from the primal world world boss but no one will give up that info >.>
