Kitty's heard many "pros" say ping affects a lot on how well one can perform. Some have said there's over 70 ms ping ish too much for any pro'ish gameplaying.

But the actual delay isn't composed of just ping, but also of gear-induced delay(mostly GPU->monitor cable and monitor itself, which ish usually 1-6 ms) and reaction time.

With quick connection, fast-refreshing monitor and a player with sharp reactions the actual delay can be easily below 200 ms(0,2 sec). But for someone with mobile broadband connection living on the otherside of the globe with old monitor at 5 am local time it can be far over a whole (1) second.

So, when reading news on the interwebz Kitty found accidentally found a reaction test.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sleep/sheep/reaction_version5.swf

It shows Kitty's reaction time after a night without sleep to be 0,28 secs, which means about 500-800 ms(0,5-0,8 sec) delay for Kitty's responses as Kitty's connection varies between 300-500ms ping usually.

How good are your reaction times? How about your actual total delay?

My average time was about 0.216 seconds. I could probably do better, but I've only been awake a short bit.

Keep in mind though, that game is running locally on your system. It's not adding in the additional delay of traffic from your PC, out to the server, and back. (The latter will vary greatly by your region, distance to the servers, your ISP, your PC, software on your PC, and your local network.) It's also just holding your mouse in one stop and clicking a button. It doesn't include assessing your situation, determining the class you're attacking, which skills will be the best to use, and then moving your mouse to the location on the screen and clicking them, or the same with pressing the hotkeys.
