I found out what my problem was.

Here is their response: "Thanks for the reply [my name], spending your gold in the auction house does not qualify for the promotion. You need to spend it in the boutique shop ( In-game Store ). We apologize for the confusion"

Just send in a ticket. I'm quite certain that the BBB and any AG office has much better things to do than deal with a mistake in a free give away promotion in a video game especially during election season.

As for me I'm more than satisfied I got another A card to replace a B card from this promo. Any upgrade from a freebie is a bonus for me.

No. The Attorney General does NOT have better things to do than investigate fraud. That is precisely their job. If they can't do their job during an election, they don't need re-elected. Get real that is a bull**** cop out. Video game or not, this is a business.

Honestly if this type of thing happened once in a while, you would have a point. This happens nearly every promotion. Some people spent real cash to get the "free items". PWE puts these promotions in place to get your money. They have responsibility to ensure you get what was promised to you for the money spent.

Specifically the person posting above this spent real cash, can prove it via paypal, and is being told they did not spend. That is fraud.

Good god. Get a grip and quit behaving like a little child. You're better than this. WTF..

My issue was resolved promptly and I received my missing item without running to the cops or the government to whine about it like a bat**** crazy loon. Besides we did get the proper amount of tickets for the orbs in the mail the 1st time around. The fact that multiple tickets resulted in 1 item is not enough to prove a case of fraud and malice or anything of the like. It proves the company made an attempt to fulfill the promo but failed due to a coding error. Nothing more and nothing less.

If you're encountering this issue, send in a ticket. CS will take care of it for you and grant you any items you may be missing.

Thank you. My ticket was answered and I received my missing ocean orb. Problem solved.

**Update: I was invited to take a short survey regarding my experience with customer support in handling this issue. My ticket was addressed within 3 hours and the issue was resolved within that time frame. This was excellent customer service so I gave them a really good feedback from it on the survey. Thanks Sparky and your team for handling this issue in a timely and professional manner.

Honestly your the one calling names and acting childish. I know you're not any better than that so I won't waste more time on that issue. Please stop spazzing.

Still stands, if a business doesn't fulfill obligations regarding rewards, the Attorney General is the one who handles that. That is what they are there for. I always send tickets. The responses sometimes are laughable. Not having any in stock to replace etc etc. You may feel it is okay to handle issues like that. I do not. I once filed because Amazon pulled a bait and switch on me on a furniture purchase. I do not feel PWE deserves any less scrutiny. Last time I had this problem the wait time to be fixed was well over a month. I did not get that resolved until DrAgOOnZ filed a ticket for me on his account. My issue was fixed in less than 2 days. He ofc has a ton of spending where I have almost none at all.

They resent the 3 orbs that disappeared, I have not been credited for the other 50g spent yet, That ticket is unanswered as of now. All my gold was bought through ah, so I do not feel like I personally need to contact anyone regarding that. If I had spent real cash, you bet your *** I would.

I also see the other person said they spent their gold by selling it. LOL, yes that would be why it didn't count for spending.

Furniture on Amazon.com? LOL! Talk about the relevance of the price of rice in China.

This issue was a coding error and was resolved promptly without getting the state and feds involved. To even suggest that route is just crazy. As I stated, there was no fraud, no malice, no 'bait and switch' here and every attempt by the company to fulfill its promise by originally sending the correct amount of tickets for the items we were promised. And they resolved the issue. You have absolutely no case for anything. If you overreact to other incidents the way you did with this incident you're going to come across like a complete childish loon and nobody will take you serious.

I've been this game for 6 years and this was the 3rd ticket I ever sent in. If you get this anally retentive about a simple coding error I can only imagine the amount of tickets with the hyper level of QQ you've been throwing at them. It's completely understandable why they would be ignored to be honest.

Regardless of coding error or not, it's still the company's duty to fulfill their agreement. You're probably not a huge cash shopper so you wouldn't know much of the story and keep to your opinion. I've charged plenty for the rewards and if a reward is not honored and just pushed back for weeks, that is fraud. It's like buying a new car and you were promised to get upgrades, but upon delivery, you don't get them. Same thing here.

I'm pretty sure you'd be QQing as well if you bought a McDonald's meal and not get your soft drink.

Technically they had 2 weeks(promised on promo) to send the items and time limit wasnt passed so there really isnt any case for any lawsuit in here. I still dont understand people whom take the "its just virtual game" stance. Its business and thats that. It really doesnt matter if the goods are physical or virtual, failure to deliver has its consequences. Granted I am not familiar with the laws in states but I would expect customer, in the very least, is entitled to a full refund.

This company keeps surprising me with the sheer creativity it has in ways of pissing off its customers. I do have to say, whoever managed to fix the issue in PWEs standards extremely quickly deserves a medal. Still, despite the **** up, rewards were sent faster than on average(Comparing to past promos) I would say.

Regardless of coding error or not, it's still the company's duty to fulfill their agreement. And they did. Mistakes happen and this promo has been fulfilled by customer support in case you haven't been following the thread. You're probably not a huge cash shopper so you wouldn't know much of the story and keep to your opinion. Excuse me but I spent over 150 gold during the promo related to this thread and I just spent 439 gold during the latest promo. I can talk thank you very much. I've charged plenty for the rewards and if a reward is not honored and just pushed back for weeks, that is fraud. I'm not certain how many times it has to be mentioned before you people understand the concept of what fraud is. Fraud is a willful misrepresentation for material or personal gain. PWI issued the correct number of tickets for the dragon orb thus making full attempt to honor the promo. A coding error caused an issue which was promptly addressed with customer support. There is no case for fruad here. Not even close. You people need to stop your exaggerations and distortions about it because it's really stupid. It's like buying a new car and you were promised to get upgrades, but upon delivery, you don't get them. Same thing here. ROTFL! Far from the same thing here. It's not even close.

I'm pretty sure you'd be QQing as well if you bought a McDonald's meal and not get your soft drink.

If that happened to me at McDonalds some heads will roll. I'm a secret shopper and I get paid to evaluate their food and customer service. The employees and management there know they are being monitored and evaluated at any given time. You'd be better off coming up with a different hypothetical situation than that.

It's way off topic but yes I do that on a part time basis. I just evaluated a Sonic joint today. I get offers to evaluate hardware stores, banks, check cashing services, Verizon stores, car dealerships, Movie theaters, etc.

But we should keep this thread on topic.

I've been doing my part to help the low levels play their game. When I see them in WC looking to buy TT mats to make their gear I PM them to try to farm their own. When they say they prefer that but have trouble finding a party or the parties they get into take the mats this person needs I offer to run it but only if they tag along. If they want mats from me like that they need to participate in the instance. I've actually have dragged some 8x and 9x people who have never been in TT through it LOL! They comment about how I have it easy in there because of the pets and gears but you should see their reaction when I tell them I ran TT solo starting at 7x years ago to farm my pets and gears.

It took me a few months farming mats there with a glacial walker in solo mode and catshopping BH wines to earn my herc but new venos can just do JoJ quests every day for a few months and buy a herc ticket and then farm that instance. It's stuff like this which needs to come back and start filling in that missing economy in the 3x to 9x range.

It's fun to see how surprised some people are when they realize just how much of the game they missed because they hyper leveled. Playing experience is worth more than just getting to 100 fast. I was farming astralwalker for dust of stars solo since I was late 8x years ago. The strategy to do that now is the same as it was back then for those who are now where I was then in their game. I'd be more than happy to share my experience with a new lower level veno on the tricks to soloing bosses in II to earn money. There needs to be more of that.

From your very own quote to you "Good god. Get a grip and quit behaving like a little child. You're better than this. WTF.." I've followed the thread and read it carefully. You're jumping down on others throat based on their own opinions. And like I said, you're not a heavy cash shopper compared to others. That measly $150 might be a lot to you, but for others its nothing. Using a car as an example pretty much relates to some of the players here. Just because you can't afford a car or spend money on a game, doesn't mean it doesn't relate to others. Those big cash shoppers has dealt with PWI's **** up many times. I know from experience where one of my charge rewards where I was told I couldn't get the item I wanted and would have to pick something else.

Going back to topic, no one said it was a fraud yet. It was just stated that it could be if it's not dealt with. PWI was quick on this error, but that's not always the case.

It can be from a car to a McDonald's meal. Point is if you're not getting what you were to be given, then it's fraud. Ok, since you're ignorant mind can't comprehend, here's another example. You bought a raffle ticket for a prize. Ooops, you're not getting it because they screwed up their drawing. And let's also say you paid $100 for just that one ticket. And say I was that company. Guess what? I got your $100 and you're not getting the prize. Can you comprehend now? Or must I go on?

Everyone has different situations and views, but if the next time you want to jump down on someone and say they are acting like a child, then you should look in the mirror.

So heads would roll for a $7 combo meal, but reporting a company **** up a $50 spend reward, which is legally binding, and does not come through on it, is acting like a child? b:laugh I love logic.

Anyway my point was that IF they do not come through on it, then yes you would report that to your Attorney General, BBB is just not useful.

Oh puhleeeze. Why don't you just call the police and the FBI and make a federal case out of it then. In fact my family's attorney used to be my state's attorney general. Want his number? He charges $300+ an hour. If you feel you were defrauded then why are you making your case in the forum instead of the courts? Probably because if you tried the latter you would come across like a loon. Because there is absolutely ZERO case of fraud here. Go to a law library and figure out what fraud really is because this ain't it.

None of your analogies are relevant because PWI customer support very promptly corrected the error.

And look who's back tracking now. I made my comments because someone stated that an attorney general should get involved because they were calling this error a fraud then launched into something about amazon.com and furniture. This issue was clearly a mistake. Mistakes are not even close to being fraud because fraud is a deliberate action.

I don't claim to know someone who knows an AG. I said my family attorney used to be my state's AG. I even participated in a radio talk show with him in studio about a state senator who got busted for drunk driving and all kinds of weird **** that followed in the courts about it. Maybe your issue with me is the result of poor reading comprehension. Who knows. I don't really care. It does not change the fact that absolutely nothing regarding the spend promo rises to the level of even being close to fraud. It was just a coding error and it was promptly addressed. End of story. I have no idea why anyone is even still thinking about this because it's been dealt with. Nothing more to discuss about it.
