Hello,

When I check task manager during gameplay I see that perfect word never uses more than 1 gb ram, even in very busy area's. I have a 64 bit pc and 8 gb of ram so I would like it to ues more than 1 gb. How to do this?

Thanks!

you cant, it is a software/hardware limitation. Meaning it was written for 32bit hardware not 64 bit. There are patches around that remove this limitation but can have undefined behavoir

Yes, because people really need 900+ dex or 1000+ magic just for the lulz

Let it run for a very long time. Itl start using more and more as you keep it running b:laugh

Dunno exactly though. Read some about existing memory leaks. I have kept the game running for weeks and maybe more than a month though and all that happens is that it uses like 1.3 or so iirc.
Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.

This game uses an engine from over 10yrs ago. It does not utilise new hardware.

Previously it would use more, but them when it came upon hitting 2GB it would crash the client.

Since then, they've put a limiter on the client itself for how much RAM it uses, and it self-caps at 1GB. (This was probably partially done to resolve one of the memory leak issues also.)

It's not using your other 3/5/7/11 cores either, so there really is no point to utilizing more.
