Spend Gold Promo?

I would like to know if selling gold in the auction house and sending a gift from the boutique count towards the promo?

    Not selling in the ah, but sending gift from boutique will count. Because you spent the gold. AH selling is not spending.

    Does spending gold and then selling the item off for coins / not using the items that was purchased count towards the promo?

    Yes all that is required is you make the purchase in the boutique, not that you keep the item.
