Opinions?

Ive currently got a pair of Lunar NV2 (Cape and Hat) @ +7. I've had them for awhile now, but Ive been considering changing them into a pair of NV3. So.....assuming minimal stat rolls on the NV3 (because luck is unkind to me more often than not), would it be worth passing up on:

>+400 Pdef,
>+2% critical
>+5 Atk Levels (set bonus)

For:

>+500HP (set bonus),
>better refining rates
>a few more general stat points


I do favor the former a bit more because of the easy Atk Lvls and the other stats being generally useful, but I'd like to get another's opinion about picking between NV2 and NV3
(The rest is R9.3 so its not like I'm looking to complete a set of NV3 anyway)

    I, personally, would keep what you have now, I am a huge fan of Attack Levels, plus the phys def and the crit is also something I wouldn't mind having either. b:laugh

    I think it would depend some on the rest of your gear and if you are having issues with not enough hit points. With the G16 version you could pick up even more magic that would help your mana pool and base attack. But I think the attack levels and extra crit would be more useful.

    Honestly if I was in the same position I would stay with the NV2 gear.

    What's the rest of your gear? Orns, refines, cards, etc. Like, what's your base stats currently?

    Nothing impressive obviously

    I'm still working on leveling cards, but they're a mix of As with one S. Havent leveled most of them beyond 10 yet till I at least complete a set (closest to completion being SoT's - just missing Trap Master Fierce).

    Ornaments are G14 Cube Necklace @ +7 and a recently acquired NW Ring that I'm having **** luck refining. Saving up for a Cloud Stir/Skycover next. Everything's sharded with Ex Garnets.

    Both your pdef and HP are rather low.

    The thing with the g15 vs. g16 helm for the pdef is that the +X% phys damage reduction will end up being better than the straight pdef as your gear gets better.

    The HP is obviously superior for the g16. That's no contest.

    What's left then is the +5 atk levels and 2% crit vs. quite a bit of extra magic. Personally, I don't really feel like the +5 atk levels is that great on a psy due to Black Voodoo. Then the crit is really only going to be about 1% extra due to the dex on the g16 cape and you being able to restat the str from that cape or even that Trap Master Fierce card whenever you get it to account for the missing points to get an extra crit.

    I see. I'm not too good at working out how damage reduction calculates when comparing straight PDef to Reduced damage taken by X amount.

    I actually forgot about restatting the cape or the WA Card stats! Thats an excellent idea~
