Spirit Coin's :: need official answer please...

i just got a bunch of spirit coins thinking this was a timed sale (until december 24th). but the coins after buying still say Valid until december 24th. does this mean, that after that date the coins will dissapear/not work? if so i just wasted a bunch of damn gold on a timed piece of ****... your sale messages need to be more detailed. I am hoping we get to keep coins/buff. this is lame.

Maybe, just maybe, you should inform about items first before you buy in bulk? If you had bought 1 coin and checked it, you would have known and prevented you from buying a bunch of coins/crystalline packs unnecessary

if they are new, and not labeled as packs (not even in the packs tab). how is one to know for certain. also, if i don't buy in bulk i pay more (that's why you buy in bulk, to save)

it says "Includes a free Crystaline Treasure box chance pack.", i wasn't buying it for the "free packs"

to me, the : Valid until December 24, 2014 on the item tab means "will be removed from the boutique at this time... so buy them now or miss out".

There doesn't seem to be reason to beleive the coins will last beyond that date. We've had something similar happen with the archosaur golden treasure box when primal update first came here.

Merch the packs to get your money back (or a profit if you wish) and enjoy the boost, then change them out for the temp flier on the last day and then NPC the flier for more cash after 6 days of using it, IMO.

I have to say this is not really like the golden treasure box seeing that this is something we have to buy. PWE should have properly informed us of this before selling us stuff that will expire.

This bit, I agree with. Poor form to have an item with an expiration date on sale and not mention the item itself has said expiration date. And if they didn't know then... that's kinda silly of the sale team to put something they didn't have a clue about on sale like that with the pack as a "bonus item" when they could have easily done it the other way around like they usually do.

Yeah it would have done better switched around... as is, it looks like its basically selling you a 7 day limited flier for 500 gold. How does that even exist?

It says the sale ends on 11/12/2014 in the news article.

In the boutique it says the item is valid until 12/24/2014. Which would indicate that it expired, since none of the other items on sale have any kind of date and never have. The sale end date has never been listed on the boutique item itself so it should be obvious when you see dates that it means that the item is time limited. :P Or at the very least this is different than what you've seen before and ask someone instead of just assuming that it's the only item in the boutique that lists it's sale end date. :P

In addition this isn't the first expiry type item that came with the packs. They all said the same thing and all worked that way. I knew instantly when I purchased the item is was going to expire. You could've also just asked around when you saw the text instead of just assuming.

I suppose they could put down from now on "Item valid until (date)" but really you should also know what you're buying before making a major purchase. Caveat Emptor.

Yeah since you're basically buying both items regardless, it would've made more sense to sell it as a bonus item that came with the pack. It's the exact same thing but it probably would've been better received since the value perception is better.

The sale ends 11/12. The coin sale in the Boutique says valid till 12/24. Now the question is does that apply to the coins or the 500 coins for a 7 day flier offer, or both? This needs a little clarification from Sparkie.

It's the coins. I have a single coin and the coin itself says it expires on 12/24. The item will likely vanish the same way the other items of this type that came with packs vanished after that date, so it will apply to the 500 coins for a 7 day flier. I'd make sure to get your flyer on 12/23.

Marengo - Lost City

I don't like this... Ppl will enjoy little boost for a while, but when it expires, you go back to your original spirit and if you farmed some more during this time, losing the buff will seem like you worked hard but achieved nothing. Giving away stuff of this kind and then taking it back isn't a good idea. Really disappointing unless they prolong it and make it perma eventually (I wouldn't be surprised).

Agreed, such a boost for a limited time is bound to cause disappointment when it's gone. Although I wouldn't be surprised if new ones went up at part of some Christmas sale if they sold well. Guess we'll have to wait and see how it pans out.

It good pwi did not make this permanent or they would ruin the game.
I can imagine people in my server spending 10,000 usd buying those coins just to be even more op.
Sorry but this item would only benefit heavy cash shoppers.
I do like that this somehow increases pack sales.
I want more pack items available in the game since they have become so expensive and rare.

my issue is, i didn't buy packs, i bought an item that "came with a free pack", and worded in such a way that makes it seem as-if the sale ends @ a certain date. It should be worded as you said "This item will expire on -DATE-". I feel cheated/ripped off. and if i could i'd ask for a refund immediately, but i know i'd have better luck pissing in the wind.

Yea but it has never worked the way you thought it did. So just for future reference, don't buy any item that says "valid until x date," because I can say with almost 100% certainty it will mean that the item will expire. I can't remember them ever putting sale dates in the boutique in-game.

I and others read it as the coin expiring when it said, so it's not that it's worded wrong. It might be worded in a way you misinterpreted, but considering a good many of us read it correctly it's not as one sided in fault as this statement seems to indicate.

I'm a little confused with what these coins provide. So for example, you buy 500 of them, is your Spirit now 500 points higher? But only for a few months? And for spending that much you only get a 7 day flyer?

You get 105 spirit for buying 1 coin, more coins = more spirit to I think a max of 135 based on what I've read.

Then you have to spend 1 gold and get 1 coin or else you're at a major disadvantage in PK.

Yeah but on the bright side it's probably not worth it to buy 500 of them for just 30 more spirit (time limited) and a 7-day time limited flyer. One gold is much easier and realistic to come by to keep on an even playing field compared to how cash shop advantages usually go down. I'm actually not sure how many you need for the 135 though. Is 500 of them necessary or is that just for the flyer.

Probably pack coins that grant +1-4 genie skills, +2-8 genie affinity points coordinated with those skills, +10-40 "levels" to add +1-40 genie stats also coordinated with those 1-4 skills... expires June 24th b:victory

Genies have had that growth attribute without anything to raise it up for a while. Seems that would be the thing to add in to the CS next as far as genies are concerned.
