Battle pet packs

This is a veno question. I wonder if I could buy pet packs to get a Herc, but how much I should buy to have 9999 of them? How much packs you bought to get that quantity?

... jeez, I get mad everytime I see someone with a legendary pet on this site, expecially a Harpy or a Monkey. How the heck they can efford them? XD

    Ah, geez it's been a while since I got a nix... euh, I got mine during a sale, and it ended up being about 64 gold. I think the safe bet for sales is around 75 and I don't remember how many packs it took? but I'd advise buying just chunks of pet packs at a time to open up, so that you don't end up getting like, really lucky and have a bunch leftover. Goodness knows that's the only way luck works in this game.
    I just started playing again after not being online for a year (while a sale is on for rep and nonsensepacks so all the prices are messed up) so I don't really know how much coin you'd actually have to farm up for that, sorry.

    We have them because we main venos and want to be sort of relevant so save up overtime, or are just really addicted to the game and don't do anything else for fun so justify money-spending to ourselves while slowly dying inside '-'

    You can get between 10 and 50 SoF/PF from a pack. Let's assume the average is 30 per pack. One pet requires 9999 of those so that's... about 333 packs.

    Could be more or less depending on your luck. You can exchange SoF for PF and vice versa and sell the leftovers I think. I suppose you could try getting 330-ish packs. At 50 for 8 Gold, that should be around 56-60ish gold.
    At 4mil per gold (current price I assume) that's about 224mil, not including AH fees.
