Are you ready for the newest update to hit PWI!? Well, if you're like us and cannot wait to see what's in store, then this little preview should give you a pretty good idea!

New Region and Quest Line

Prepare to battle in an all new region, Luneska! It is said to be a powerful empire that rules all the frozen lands to the east! Players who reach Mirage Sky X can auto-receive the mainline quests once they enter the Primal World.

Territory Resource War

When this starts, resources appear on the world map in each claimed territory, controlled by the faction that owns the territory. The objective is to attack and destroy the ore carts traveling within the enemy territories. All PVP penalities are suspended during ths time, and if you do not own a territory, you can still participate by attacking ore carts!

Active Point System

We are introducing a new system that will reduce the amount of daily quests that you need to complete! Players level 100 or above can unlock the Active Point System, which will allow them to use the points to complete inactive quests.

Invader Buff

We are introducing a new system that will grant players an ATK and DEF buff in Territory Wars. The greater the difference in controlled territories, the stronger the buff gets.

No third rebirth. Just an extension of the mirage sky level.

I'm curious about the Territory Resource War, not sure what the winning faction(s) prizes will be.

Someone in my faction made this post a while back. You can scroll down to the reward section. She's not in the faction any more so I don't know how to reach her for more info.

Territory Resource War - Faction PK Event (Supply Escort and Raids)

When: 20:00-21:00 once a week -Can happen on a Wednesday or Thursday (the day is not scheduled, happens randomly)
Where: World Map (for lvl 30+)

Details of event:
Players belonging to a faction that owns at least 1 territory will be automatically placed into pk mode for the event. Those who don't belong to a faction that own territories can still attend the event by taking a quest inside the faction base to manually change to pk mode. No experience lose or item drops upon death during the event, or consume any guardian scrolls (does consume guardian charms -my mistake xD)

The object of the event is to escort and protect supply carriages that belongs to your faction from other attacking factions until it reaches its designation. Or it can be the opposite- to try and steal as much supply from other factions instead of trying to protect your own.

This is What it looks like:

Here is a map of the location of all the supply camps and its designations



The more territories a faction has, the more supply carriages and bases it has. Both the supply carriage and the supply base can be captured by other factions (by doing damage to it I suppose). Each has a limited amount of supply that can be captured by enemy factions. When the limit is reached, both the supply carriage and supply base cannot be attacked/take damage.

When capturing a supply carriage or base that doesn't belong to your faction to begin with, the credit/supply of the capture will go to the faction the squad leader belongs to.

The Rewards
Rewards will be special tokens that can be exchanged for other things. To obtain your reward (it will be mailed to your mailbox)
- Kill vehicles, or pk people.

Notable reward choices:
With 75 of those tokens, you can get buff pots that gives 100 spirit and 20% increase in defense for 1 hr. http://www.pwdatabase.com/cn/items/43708

With 40 of those tokens, you can get nuema orbs to lvl nuema slots

With 2000 tokens, you can get one of those new flyers.


New Instance: Female Country's Under Water Treasury (That's what the Chinese words says xD)

Just like fsp/UCH, it is an instance with a daily quest reward. However...the new instance can only hold up to 6 people. The rewards includes a choice of an avatar card chest, a bottle of blood, or hp foods. There isn't much info on it, but I would assume it is an underwater instance, given that UCH is the first actual dungeon that allows flying, and in fsp, there is an under water tunnel.

Although the pwi site doesn't mention anything about the instance, I believe that there is one as part of the new northeast area in primordial world. It will probably require the server to reach the historical achievement to unlock this mini instance. And as the title of the expansion suggests: "Chill Of Luneska" I speculate Luneska is the queen boss of the Underwater Female Kingdom that you have to kill to get the reward.






Expanded Primordial World

The Northeast side will be expanded upon (there will be a southeast too but not in this expansion). With the new expansion comes with more server achievement quests to unlock it.




Sky lvl 3 will be available; maxing out spirit from 219 to 444, last lvl requires 31k vitae points. This also means that your passive buffs can now reach lvl 10 (the ones that requires bottles of blood)

Neuma lvl cap is raised from lvl 5 to lvl 7 (start farming neuma pills again)

29 New title quests (better do the ones from this update or you will be too far behind xD)


New primordial world dailies and events

This is another new primordial world daily that takes place in another instance (6 people max)



There are other events and dailies, but the explanation on the Chinese site was very vague...like something about a boss or 2. They could have made taht world boss that drops card packs into an event thing (I hope).

TW rule change:
If the attacking faction has less lands than the defending faction, the attacking faction will get a defensive buff. If the difference in number of lands is great, the attacking faction will also get an offensive buff.

New daily quest system.
Every day at reset, one daily quest called the "active quest" will be selected on your server that can be automatically completed by using a "active points." "Active points" can be obtained by doing your other daily quests that was not selected as the "active quest" for that day.

Other not so interesting things:

ARCHERS GETS A RIFFLE!!!! [WTH]


Changing the name on a flying mount?
rewards for reach new sky lvls and lvls.

You forgot a part about introducing an item that completes your daily quests for you.

Which to me is a bigger sign than anything it's time to stop playing PWI.


Such a boutique item basically implies that the PWE management is WELL aware how sick we are of doing dailies and how a game now feels like a chore, and instead of addressing that by providing some form of other content (the resource wars is basically it), they double down and provide even MORE tedious quests while increasing the vitae needed for completion and the spirit rewarded tenfold, basically making non-completion a completely non-viable option. Then they profit off of that.

No gaming company would specifically and knowingly release a big update including something their consumer base is growing sick of unless they've truly stopped caring for the game and are merely getting the last bits of profit out of it...

If you viewed OPKossy's post on 1st page with a quote from Astrelle and YT-link, you could see that dailies take "-10" points. So 3 dailies p/day skipped for free, and you can buy an item (timed and not very expensive) to skip more dailies.

The item that mel is buying from shop to remove the limit on those quest points IS autopot. He has said it so himself. They just added another use for it. (source: http://pwinfo.moy.su/forum/3-40-1 )

IIRC the mermaids were bound somewhat. At least when they were first released anyways. Caught a lot of folks off guard and caused some commotion too.

They really ought to character bind upon equip like charms though with this new update. Perhaps sell a different version of it and the cheaper version doesn't bind but can't clear dailies for people who use them on alts and don't care about their alts dailies. Otherwise we'll likely see the same thing that happened to lowbie zones with FC happen to the dailies. Which would be a shame. It's important to balance the need to make some things more realistic time consumption wise as the game expands with the need of community play.
