You must observe these Terms, all Rules of Conduct, all applicable laws and all basic rules of etiquette and common courtesy when using the Service. Any conduct that violates the law in an offline, real world community is also a violation of these terms. We will not tolerate any illegal or offensive conduct.
^ This means that (amongst other things) that the Forum Rules of Conduct are also rules that you are legally required to obey, or face denial of service (banning) and yes you can be banned in-game for something you did on the forums. It's rare but it happens.Without limiting the foregoing, in addition to the User Content rules set forth in Section 16, you agree not to take any of the following actions
e. interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the Service;
One of the requirements connected to use of the forums, is that you'll read and abide by the forum rules of conduct. You've agreed not to disobey those rules.f. “stalk,” threaten or otherwise harass or cause discomfort to another;
Pretty self explanatory. The forums aren't the place for you to harass or cause discomfort for others. You can't flame other users. You can't name and shame them.g. collect, store, post or otherwise disseminate any personal data about other users;
You may not disseminate personal information about others. What you posted belongs in a ticket, not distributed for others to see.n. take any action that disrupts the Service or that negatively affects or may prohibit other users from enjoying the Website, the Games or any other aspect of the Service.
Naming and Shaming someone negatively affects another user's ability to play without being subject to harassment. You may not do this.You agree not to post, upload to, transmit, distribute, store, create or otherwise publish any of the following:
a. User Content that is unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, indecent, lewd, suggestive, harassing, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, inflammatory, fraudulent or otherwise objectionable;
h. User Content that violates the Rules of Conduct or that, in our sole judgment, is objectionable or which restricts or inhibits any other person from using or enjoying the Service, or which may expose us or our users to any harm or liability of any type.
As part of the forum "staff" (unpaid, volunteer, non-employee) we can decide if something breaks the rules or not. If you feel we are mistaken, you can take it over our heads (to the CM). But it is our judgement and not yours on what is considered trolling. Even if you think you're being cute or clever, if it can be considered trolling someone. It will be.
