I am also having this problem and nothing I do seems to help. I find it odd that the game worked this morning but now it doesn't.

Does it do an update first before u get the error? Mines does a 17mb update then returns and error "Arc has encountered an error while updating, Please try again." but no matter how many times I try I get the same issue

Yeah I am the same, seems a good old fashioned reboot solved the problem! Never under estimate the power of switching it off and back on again lol b:chuckle

Sounds like your security software is cleaning the files or locking them and preventing Arc from working properly.

They really need to add a notice in the intallers in big red text similar to....

    IMPORTANT:

You must EXCLUDE the entire client directory from ALL antivirus scans to prevent a false-positive from making the client in-operable.

Of course, then you would have to assume that people actually bother to read messages.

I don't think it has anything to do with anyone's anti-virus, it's just PWI **** up again as is the norm for them. I am having the same crappy issue as above.

Oh wait now I can log in...guess why this happened in the middle of NW? Because they are trying to sell us Zen....WTF! Do you really think making my game lag so bad it freezes in the middle of one of the few fun things in this game is going to make me spend my money? Really?! PWI's marketing staff are not to bright if you ask me. Cuz, yeah guys I really want to have a damn pop-up messing with my game time. I hate this Arc piece of cow patty! The site with all it's flaws was 100x better.

your anti virus can be the problem if you have McAfee you need to turn off real time scaning to get it to work same if the anti virus has it as that will return false positives

    This looks like a NECRO!

Any thread over one month (30 days) old is considered to be a dead thread and you're not supposed to post in them. The person you are replying to probably doesn't care any more or can no longer be found on the forums. The topic itself could be out of date. Next time just make a new thread.

Let's see how long it takes for a mod to close this :)
