Arc is making me lag so much

why is arc lagging me out. im lagging so much. well not all the time. suddenly lag. its so sudden. hasnt hapened before.

Pls Help.

    I have checked on resources manager and Arc does not use any internet access while idle.

    It does consume a slight amount of GPU/CPU time with its stupid overlay tho.

    The overlay is a hooked up process that inserts code before ID3DX_DEVICE9::Present() (Or something like that, long time I don't mess up with graphics programming).
