ARC Beta?

I was looking at the launcher and in the top left corner is said


(arc logo) BETA


If the launcher is still beta why is it required?

A beta is a testing period of the software in use to get the most respond out of the people to test it they can make it required. Tho they are still working on arc and just integrated but I doubt itll go out of beta as theres alot of games of pw that could be arc required
