Arc not working arghh

Today's (April 2nd) update somehow wont work and let me into PWI!

Up until today arc has worked ok, now no entry to the game.

I have chosen PWI to put in my library on arc as requested and downloaded - then when I click on play the small box with updates flashes on vanishes then thats the end of it no game no nothing.

My computer runs Windows 7 loads of memory n power, I have Bullguard anti virus but that never stopped earlier version working.

What is happening is this a PWI gltich?

    If you haven't completely excluded the game directory, (and maybe even the Arc directory at this point), then it's likely your AV software ate it.

    Fix Bullguard, then start the patcher and verify three times. Reboot and try again.

    ty but I need the idiot guide.

    What do you mean if I havent excluded the game directory? On arc I have no games in the library? SO I downloaded PWI to try n play it. Eventually after it downloads I press play but nothing happens.

    How do I fix Bullguard it has never popped up to block PWI?

    I've rebooted but didn't seem to make a difference.

    Also the patcher seems to have vanished.

    In your virus software, under the scan settings, there should be a section called "Exclude from scans". In that section, there are two buttons, "File Types" and "Files/Folders".

    You will want to click "Files/Folders". In the window that appears, you will add the folders that Arc and the client reside in so that they aren't scanned.

    Never having used, or even hearing of, Bulldog before, I was surprised to see it rates #8 on the top ten AV software list. Their support site is pretty lacking and hard to navigate so I can't give you much more detail than I have.

    if the patcher is missing, look in the Launcher folder for Launcher.exe. You should be able to repair from that.
