HOWTO: Start client twice despite arc

There are two ways of starting the client twice even after they forced arc on us now.

1.)
a) start arc
b) start the game
c) kill the arc.exe process using your taskmanager
d) start arc again
e) start the game again

2.)
a) Create a desktop shortcut to your elementclient.exe
b) make sure the working directory of the shortcut points to your "element" directory
c) append " startbypatcher" to the target
d) run the 2nd - and only the 2nd - client using this shortcut (otherwise you might miss patches/updates).

    For years I have only been logging on using elementclient.exe and nothing else. The first client will always start with opening the launcher, checking for updates and such.

    I dont mind it open launcher first though, I'll have to update the client sooner or later anyways with patchs, well auto patch. It allows me to be lazy ^^

    yea but now the "launcher" is arc, and it won't start the game a second time if it already started it once.

    Arc is a piece of sh*t tbh.

    One of my puters will dual client and one won't.

    What I did was:

    1. Start first client thru Arc

    2.Make a shortcut on desktop to element client and start game there for second client

    Make the short cut from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Perfect World Entertainment\PWI_en\element\elementclient.exe"

    Hope ths helps u, like I said, it worked for one computer and didn't on the other

    When the next patch comes, just run patcher.exe, or download the manual patch and run it.

    it's stil BS to have to go this way.... this was a gr8 gae, but jow they are **** with devoted players just like other sites...
