So I evolved my herc today.

I was planning on rerolling the mood for something with howl, perhaps confident or daring. Should I reshape? What are the ratios of stats transferred?

    I honestly don't think Regeneration and Provoking are very good. My favourite mood for the Giant is Selfless.
    I don't know the ratios though. It's usually not too hard to get the desired mood, usually the issue is getting high level skills of said mood skills.

    In any case, I'd advice to reroll mood.

    Rerolled twice, ended up with selfless. Skill levels are terrible though (4 and 1 respectively). I'm debating on either rerolling again or evolving either my hatchling or celestial sting.

    I like regeneration skill, it's very helpful if not minimal lvl but at least 6 or 9%. But 3% I rerolled.
    Stats are not bad, depends on what you want though. I'd leave them as they are if lacked stars and returned to it if they proved to be not enough, but for most situation where you need herc, they are ok.
