Switch coins from server to server: do you trust enough?

I was thinking to change server and start to play with a brand new chara, mostly because of time zone troubles. Have you ever tried to contact someone for a coin and/or gear exchange between servers? Like, I give you one million here on Archosaur, you give me the same on Morai. I know it's not safe... but it would be nice to start with some coins in my pocket.

Or PWI could just allow server transfers. Before anyone says it's not possible, they pretty much opened the way by allowing name changes.

So you so give someone 1 mil on your departing server. And have that same person give you back 1mil on the destination server.

I see a problem on how you would get your money back.

Yeah I've traded like 100mil from Morai to Dreamweaver when I decided I didn't wanna put the time into making a new character after all xD I didn't get scammed but of course that's more luck then anything ells.
There is always the risk of getting scammed when doing those kind of trades. A thing you can do to minimize the risk is to be the last one to confirm a trade. That put's the trust issue on the other person, s/he need to trust you and not the other way around. If they accept it that is, it's usually the one requesting the trade that have to confirm first ^^

No they don't, there is currently no way of transfering from one server to another.

Yeah, the problem is to find a good friend who play in both servers. I guess it will take time.

Eh, I wish I could go back in time and choose Morai as first server... I can't be part of any event because of my time zone, they all start in the middle of the night no territory war, no national war, anything. Oh well, I will be back at the old times when I was a small and cute veno.

By the way. Why the Morai server don't have a forum section like the others?? o_O

I would never trust any1 like that!
There r sooo many ppl in DW server (probably other servers too , if not more) who actually scam ppl like that.
I could name them here so ppl would know, but cant.. there is rule which protect scammers

Probably because morai is one of the EU servers? I don't know. They got their own support team/version.

I guess you could trade in pieces, 10m or 25m at a time. That way if you do get scammed you're only out a bit rather than a large amount.

Need to give someone a little trust to see if they are worth it. Just make sure that you don't make the risk greater then the loss you're willing to accept.

In other words, trade it in portions that you can accept the loss of. If you have someone willing to trade, divide it in portions that aren't to big, both dual log 1 on both servers and just go there 1mil per 1mil, 500k per 500k or whatever you consider a reasonable risk.

Might be a bit longer, but if the other just wants to steal, you just loose a little on it. No biggy and live on. If it is a trustworth person, you just lost a few minutes doing multiple trades.

Pretty obvious what we need here.

A reputable well known person (there are a few on these forums) that has multiple toons on multiple servers with enough capital on each server to start up a coin trade company.

They could make a small profit on trades and value coin with gold for exchange rates;

e.g. if gold on Dreamweaver is 2.6m and on Morai it's 3.6m

then 100m on morai is worth 72m on Dreamweaver and they could charge a transfer fee of a few mil.

Any takers?

That part is a bit unrealistic.

However an official way to send gold from 1 server to another could work (and increase goldprices even more b:laugh). Or with coins, or some other intermediairy system. This worked for DQ points so it's possible.

Any thread over one month (30 days) old is considered to be a dead thread and you're not supposed to post in them. The person you are replying to probably doesn't care any more or can no longer be found on the forums. The topic itself could be out of date. Next time just make a new thread.
