Low fps/lag

Haven't played this game since last year ,and coming back to look at things I noticed this game lags worse than before.I play max settings on all games I play.20 fps lag in west arch,game randomly freezes for 1 sec when I cast a spell.I like how everything looks in game tho.Even tho it's outdated and old for vet players like me.Anyone know what to do to stop the lag?

    internet bottlenecking plus bad cpu (Imo)

    since pwi use only 1 core that octa cpu isnt helping anything its old game so yeah

    i had 8350 and 9590 and tehy performed less good then my intel rig setup with i5 3570k clocked to 4.8

    but again who knows maybe ur system needs spring cleaning

    Try to see if bringing the "effects" slider back one step fixes your issue. Especially when moving through Archo West with the ton of catshops and folk there, it can simply become too much for any system to handle.

    When it comes to PWI you can have any CPU you want, you're going to have a bad time with high settings and highly populated areas. Primal world is even worse for some reason.

    The engine is so old you could run it on a Nasa computer and it'd still run like ****.

    Lag... could be caused by multiple things, bad connection, hubs/switches/routers **** around, etc.

    "I play.20 fps lag" FPS is not the same as Lag.

    Generally it sounds like you're having low FPS issues, which is usually due to **** on your end taking the CPU time the client wants.

    I'd be happy to take a look at how you can get more performance out of it for the game.

    I will need a copy of the output from a dxdiag.txt file, and a link to a published Speccy report taken while you are having the issues.
    (Remember to use the [code] tags for the dxdiag info and to remove any trademark characters so it doesn't get cut off.) (CODE tag is the # symbol in the editor.)
