What are the steps involved becoming "R9" equipped?

    1) 300,000 reputation
    2) Level 101 (current level, not historical level)
    3) Enough gold or coins to buy the items needed to exchange for the equipment.

    More detail bout #3 you need 19 Medals of Glory and 205 General Summer Tokens. 1 general summer's token is 9,999 mysterious chips. The best guide out there bout r9 info is Here

    Really if you're asking about how to get R9, you need to play the game more first. Learn the game, then worry about getting your gear. You'll learn how to get your gear as you play and make friends.

    Do you mean to get the R9 ring / quest-gear you need to be actual 101? But not to wear, that ofc...

    Oh ****, if it's like this you just made me lvl one more lvl my alt U.U

    My guess is that you need to have a current level of 101 to take the quest to progress from R8 to R9. If you were already R9, you don't need to be 101 to take more gear quests. (I did this last night on a level 102^100 character.)

    This is correct. Whilst we can use/wear gear and other things after rebirth, we cannot complete or take actual quests that we don't meet the level requirement for. A simple example is being unable to report or take lvl100 BHs once you go through rebirth (until you're 100 again).

    This is true most of the time, but it seems to not apply to all of the rank gear quests.

    Rank 9 is a little funny in that it's the only Rank level that requires you to front a lot of items to get the ring itself, so I can't confirm one way or the other about what current vs historical level is needed for acquiring it.
