    not true..
    RT history 101

    lets start with Infamy.
Infamy got its number one title when Insight and Empire imploded.

QQme got its number one title when Infamy just decided to give up.

Vicious got its number one title when many of QQmes vital members quit game.

and now QQmes number one title came after many of Vici's most active members decided to quit game.

seems that all of the number one slots came by luck of not having to fight a previous number one at full strength.. the only time a number one was earned was the back and forth between QQme and Levi.. up until the Vicious formation.

One thing is sure, the pendulum keeps swinging. Insight and Empire imploded? Well Leviation is the faction who broke INfamy, they beat them in a defensive war and soon thereafter no more infamy. Yet knowing what i know now about the infamy leadership they would not have been long term contenders regardless as it stood (who knows what could have happened) Qqme was beating infamy several weeks before it gave up though so...

Then Levi and QQme fought a long time, Levi became stronger through natural means, the less op faction can garner momentum and more hate resistance builds against the top faction. Levi became stronger than QQMe and had a lot of the main cities on the map. This was not because QQme gave up! just the natural eb and flow of power and players seeking fun.

Vicous started with the core of a few different factions and started strong and motivated, they got stronger, weaker, stronger, weaker, stronger, weaker than qqme again just the natural flow of battle, players moving, drama management, some beans taken from here to there. SO overall i will have to disagree with your assessment of things. I would say that the rise and fall of factions has to do with moral, drama management, public opinion, perceptions, and the pendulum swinging. Oh don't forget GANKS, even when unsuccessful they can put a lot of pressure on a faction. Ganks, ganking etc. probably have played a pretty big role. Even though Varden was a lot weaker in strength than QQme, every week getting attacked by them added a lot of pressure to our defensive wars. Props to varden for bringing it every week lol.

Now to the actual topic i have thought this out, 3 years ago lol. I'd say you need 1 seasoned pk squad with 2 venos 3 clerics to hunt down cata squads on side lanes, and experienced in small group pvp a mobile squad. And i would say you need 2 "shock" squads consisting of 2-3 bms and 1-2 wizards and maybe one or 2 barbarians, who break up the front formations, cause mayhem and destruction, and generally tank and CC for the more kill oriented less tanky squads behind them. *first ones in, last ones out* mentality

Different class compositions would be better at different styles of attack. You could go for the 80 down b lane style, probably with a lot of aoes, not very many assasins, you could go for split push with more venos and assassins. Archers are pretty good utility good in a lot of situations.

Vicious never got weaker until recently when most players quit the game or left the faction for better TW since we had been on top for 2 years+.
