Hypothetical cross server TW

Eoria - Harshlands

Assuming 80v80, who would you put in for a server vs. server TW? What kind of squad setups would you use? What sort of strategy? Etc. Also keep in mind, can be people from any guild. Think of the server as a whole, not just one guild.




And please don't turn this into a ten page e-peen contest. I don't care about it.

I would have one cata go up A, one up B. Switch gates as needed depending on enemy opposition.

Sins would be instructed to scout and take down clerics from behind. Clerics in Def 4 and 5 would be ordered to SoG and sleep heavier enemy DDs.


(I'm assuming people would obey orders and not fight each other in this scenario; apologies for spelling any names wrong; nor do I have any experience making TW decisions)

Mystics are getting OP, I'm not saying that a TW should have 50 mystics, but more than one could be really useful.

And not sure if that's included in Eoria's hypothetical rules or not so it doesn't matter.

A cross-server TW would be fun..

Wasn't sure at the moment of any constructive criticism is what I meant, sorry. No worries, just a fun puzzle to me, no e-peen contest needed. Although I think SyntherosX would be better in Offense than Cata...

If this in theory was against LC, I do think our strengths are archers and venos, they do have better sins. So we would need to keep a closer eye on clerics and venos than normal. (I am not familiar enough with the other servers to guess)

Also there's nothing wrong with Jackie and shila as scout and basebuffer but Lutirica and MeganBR are both boss at those jobs, Jackie's pretty good at cleric harassing/distracting too. On a more serious note, don't even include Fetishes in the list. This isn't personal bias speaking; if you're afraid to die, you don't belong in TW, especially not on a Psy. Your team needs people willing to cover you and cover your retreat, not dudes focused on some broken KPD mechanic and how to pad it. Any well-geared Psy could take his place and do well with proper guidance.

Scouts legit need to trash talk. You might all think I'm crazy but let's be real: people rage over stupid ****. You trash talk on scout? You negate the ragers. Can't remember if it was Kylin or Crimson but one of those wars I legit got an entire squad to say "**** the TW let's tell this guy off" and I felt like the most useful **** ever.

gyrovage could better replace needtosmoke in the current conditions

jekel switching from cata 1 to offense 1 with travest (for more firepower in off 1)

eclipse switching from cata 1 to offense 2 with mirajane (same reasoning)

actually if i think better why the hell cata 1 and cata 2 need so much firepower? isn't the purpose of offense teams to have the max fire and the catas max survivability with a minimum firepower?

Sparkle is in Def2, so you would have to replace them.

I don't agree much with putting sparkle in cata in this hypothetical scenario though, both Zhenji and I are capable of surviving longer and decent venos. (Zhenji is much better) I don't think sparkle is bad though and feel their squad placement is appropriate as is.

And for the same reasons than Fet I would remove Wytche from the list, his K/D r is too important for him that he would prefer lose TW than die.

Also for Jae list, I would switch Longknife and Curses, Longknife is good at leading defense and Curses is good at leading Offense.

Jekel did put Ninrax in cata for a reason, Ninrax play his mystic like a cleric, Chev doesn't.

I think Ninrax is good at what he does, but I don't think it's what a mystic should do, my opinion is Ninrax is use as ''cleric'' cause Infa lack of good clerics. (all HL lack of skilled clerics not just Infa)

A lot of mystics are forced into a cleric's role cause the clerics on HL sucks. Mystic can be good at it as much as a cleric, but it's such a waste, mystics can do so much more than just healing.

Mystics are great healers, but using a mystic as healer cause of the lack of good clerics is kinda showing HL's weakness, we lack of support classes that know how to play. Clerics, BMs, venos and mystics that know how to play their class correctly are rare.

Mystic is pretty much dependent on where they're placed, tbh. In a cata squad, I would say their role is, yes, to primarily function as a support healer and make sure clerics+catas stay alive via heals/res buff and protecting clerics from sins via knockback and their multitude of CC. 'Cause, you know, the only thing that matters is keeping catas alive to DD on towers/crystal.

In a defense squad, you would work to output as much CC as possible and probably try to snipe off clerics if possible. Or essentially function as a magic BM.

Ninrax really should just reroll cleric...

He's is the one mystic I refuse to bring to any pve, because he will literally just sit there and spam un-needed heals on everyone when I would rather have him dps'ing with a storm mistress + nukes so the FSP doesn't take half an hour. Nevermind that the cleric is already under blue ball and everyone is at full hp.

My slowest recorded run ever was with him and Bebes in squad. I set my bot up for mushi using trip-NV-AS, came back 10 minutes later and it was still at 40% hp, and I was tanking it, while he was still spamming heals on full hp targets. WTF?

The only time a mystic should heal (as solo/main healer) should be when there's no cleric in squad or if needed, if I was the cleric in a squad and see him mainly heal I would start to metal mage, specially FSP doesn't need more than one healer.

That happen that I'll just heal, but in situation like the PVP we had on the mountain in OHT last week, we was getting **** than I switch and only healed and we won that fight, but I did it cause we had no cleric and Infa had 2.

What does this have to do w/ nin being in TW line up...Surely there are two variations to being a mystic class( healer/dd) you just don't like his and um have to post this personal vendetta for?

Also, ninrax isn't put in cata squads because "infa doesn't have good clerics" (although you're allowed to your opinion), we just know what kind of player he is and he realizes the importance of res buff, knockback bm/sins, and healing clerics. Basically lifting some weight of clerics.
