monkey question ^

Okay so my dilemma is on skills for monkey. I'm planning to get a monkey soon and I was wondering which I should be more worried about, mag def or p.def? I don't want to give up pounce because it would lose a bit of control which is something I really like. So I have a choice between protect and strong to replace the bleed. Which seems to be more of a danger to monkey, mag attacks or physical attacks?

Ty for your time^^

Physical defense... I have both buffs for my monkey (I deleted punce), but the physical defense I got, is not enough.

I went with magic, Protect, on mine because I think it benefits the most from the Venomancer's AA build. Different story if it's a different build but I know you're AA.
Also, I feel that melees can kill the Monkey fast regardless (except Barbarians mostly) but casters will usually have trouble killing the Monkey unless they are use MoW (Cleric) or stack some DoTs. Either way, in both cases the opponent gets distracted enough that you can mess with them.

Ultimately, think of what classes you're usually fighting against and choose accordingly.

Thanks for the advice yall^^ I probably will go with protect. I'm hoping I can pull off a max lvl tidal/stealth so bleed and things of the sort won't kill it. For some reason melee tend to ignore my nix, but all the casters make sure to kill it b:chuckle. So because of this fact, protect is probably the best choice^.

    Ty again^^

If somehow Blessing of the Pack were able to be applied toward Monkey, I'd like to go for it.
Someone said that Claw does not stack with Rule the World. It should go to the same situation for Blessing of the Pack out of Combat Saint.
Yet it still needs a verification LOL

I would go for the faction base skills...if u can afford a monkey then I am sre u want it as good as possible the extra 30% will really help.

Yeah, I got the faction base one for the Monkey but I forget the skill's name so I say Protect anyway.

Basically depends on enemies and your pvp activity.
Main reason I would like to get pdef is when melee class attacks you, it comes close, so pet is also close and gets hit by aoe. When you fight a caster, you can send it out of aoe at least.
On the other hand, pets are vulnerable to DoTs and most DoTs in game are magic, only few are physical, including flesh ream, but venos who are obsessed with survivability usually remove it without hesitation.
Here comes the necessity for both buffs :)
Comforting to know, even though pounce is rare, it is obtainable and you can relearn it b:surrender

I wonder if base guild buffs make a big difference with normal 30% buffs... Anybody tried both on same pet same inheritance same target attacked? Surrealistic question, I know b:chuckle

I don't think there is point to hide anything here. You could conceal it from enemies but they can become allies any moment. It's not only venos who fight on your side. Also some ppl have veno alts and know such details. You never know when this precious top secret info benefits and when fails you b:chuckle
Better to be ready for everything than hope for someone's inattention and lack of knowledge.

That's why indifferent mood with full star is the ideal mood for the monkey king, at least there is a 50% change it will resist a dot, or those attacks that ignore defense levels.

Yes it is~ the only thing is getting a good roll for it though I guess anything from 30% and up is decent.
