I'm pretty sure that answer is a yes. I don't know for a fact, nor do I own a SoT type tome.

Yes they do. That is a fact.

Fact : Bound SoT tome becomes UNBOUND when upgrading to Dominance tome.

Yes. Bound tomes when upgraded through the NW forge become unbound. This works on both SoT > Dominance and Dominance > Emperor.

I know from experience.

But yeah, the tome is a special exception to the norm of upgrading bound items. It does go unbound when you upgrade a bound level 7 tome to Dominance.
