New stone barrier skill

Has anyone acquired this skill yet, and if so, can you answer me if it does actually add more physical/earth defense than the demon/sage versions of it. It seems to me in the description that it only adds reduced channeling time and chi consumption. If that is true it would suck to waste 60 bloods for those bonuses... b:shocked

I saved the 60 bloods under the impression that it did offer improved defense (based on an erroneous post on here). After I looked it up in the encyclopedia and saw what you saw (reduced chi/cast time are the only changes) I spent the bloods on passive defenses. I don't think I will touch stone barrier or frostblade until all of my passives are maxed.

If you have the bloods right now I would go for sandfall or passives. Or wait until someone else tries it first.

I see. It looks like we are going to wait a long time before someone decides to touch that skill. Hopefully PWI staff would be able clarify that at some point, or we are gonna have to spy on the chinese version again. b:chuckle

If you want any of the shields, glacial embrace and pyroshell are you bets options, as has been stated. 10 chi every 3 secs with glacial embrace, and 15% crit rate for pyroshell. the defenses stay the same as their demon/sage counterparts.

just got stone barrier, i confirm the improvement is just in chi consuption and casting\chann time

imo its worth it,
i got it before some passives, chi shield, sandfall etch, in mass pvp wizards are the first ones to get purged, kicking in an almost insta stone barrier can save your ***
