new patch freezing game upon entering

just updated latest parch and as im loading into the game from char selection, load freezes and windows notifies me the game is not responding! is there a fix? i have tw tonight!

    1. Disable your AV temporarily.

    2. Exclude the entire client directory from all AV scans.

    3. Verify your client files THREE times.

    4. Re-enable your AV.

    5. Reboot.

    6. Play
