Launcher not loading

hi everyone.. I've been wanting to play PW since yesterday but when i open the launcher it just says *Verifying Client Version.. Please wait" and it doesn't seem to even do anything.. i left it there for more then 3 hours and it's still saying that.. So i'm asking, has this happened to anyone? Can it be fixed? What's happening??!!
