Spirit Fox Form - worth it?

I have been away (just recently returned) from the game for a while and read some threads from a few months ago about the form skill being bugged and lacking the CN skills associated with the new form, also noticing that there were some threads complaining the quest was bugged. What is the current status of all this?

I am sage but I am curious about what the general consensus on the demon equivalent skill was as well.

    Thankfully it was fixed a long time ago. Demon one sucks but it's worth getting because it no longer reduces your MP upon changing forms (this applies to both Sage and Demon).

    Sage Imbued Fox Form:
    Mana 150
    Channel Instant
    Cooldown 6.0 seconds
    Weapon Unarmed, Magic Instrument
    Required cultivation Aware of the Myriad
    Transform into your fox form, increasing Physical Defense by 150% and Accuracy by 250%.
    Allows Fox Form skills to be used.
    Shares a cooldown with Spirit Fox Form

    Sage version generates 35 chi.

    Spirit Fox Form has identical stats, just gives you a different form. (A silvery 5 tailed fox.) You must learn Imbued before you can get Spirit. Demon gives you a 5% reduction in crit rate of incoming attacks.

    Edit: just noticed this skill description info sort of hiding on ecatomb, not quite where I expected it to be (had to play with + and - with sage selected on the skill page). Nevertheless, the helpfulness was appreciated! b:cute

    I'll just add that, Spirit Fox Form was supposed to be released with a Spirit fox Form exclusive skill (usable only in that form) but this never happened so, unless you want the new look for aesthetics, you can save the 5mil and only learn the imbued version of the regular Fox Form.

    Sounds like a smart idea, Desdi.The spirit fox form is beautiful, but 5mill for aesthetics definitely makes it less important. Besides, I've always wanted a kitty form for my kitty veno! b:chuckle

    Heresy! Next you'll be making the outrageous claim that having good looking fashion, as well as multiple mounts and aeros to accessorize with said fashion, is less important than keeping skills and gear up-to-date!

    If only the demon version wasn't so terribly crappy compared to the sage version. I really hope, if it wasn't changed with this update (haven't been playing), that an update in the future makes that skill's bonuses more comparable, especially for demons.
