As the title says the lag is outrageous, ping swinging from 97 ms to over 38,300 ms. I know that I had over half my friends list disconnect at the same time over and over. Not to mention my own disconnections and server crashes. IS there anyone even LOOKING at this issue? Srsly PWI GMs you got to fix this before I go the way of so many other players, off to another more stable MMO. Yeah there are some out there, and they are fun to play. Just hate to leave all my friends behind. So FIX this lag and disconnection issue now!

Thank you a long time player of PWI.

PS This is on Dreamweaver server.

its on many servers, so for those wondering, no its not DDOS, it can't be because it is effecting a wide range of server in different locations.

Edit: It is most likely a system lag of some sort. Usually just restarting the server host computer will fix it. I'm sure that pwi can fix this during the next maintenance when thye can shutdown for a few min. If they can't do that, then i've never seen such an incompetent company incapable of fix a simple issue that most liekly can be solved by pressing and off and on switch....

Boomz last time they restarted the server it took them 12hrs to find the power button b:chuckle I think the lag has moved in to stay like an unwelcome relative b:surrender

sanctuarys been ok so far o.o i think

sure its not your PC? some of the snowmen snowflake lags do affect pple to a certain degree.

Say for instance like your safe box closing on you, if you move to 1k where there is no snow, it opens fine.

the issue is on many servers with so many people that it can't be the internet connection of those individuals, it is impossible.

While you are correct, it also doesn't mean it's the game servers themselves.

I've been seeing this in several online games, not just PWI. It's most likely a regional router issue. (And everyone that's given me a traceroute to look at has shown that it's a regional router or trunk-line where the issue is.)

Lots of people (Kids especially) are off on Holiday and are getting their game on. There's a lot more shopping going on online, and all of it put together really tests the infrastructure of the global network that we call the Internet.

There is no magical connection between you and the game servers. There's a lot of routers and cable that your signal passes through on the round trip.

Edit: Here, just for kicks, this is what my Traceroute looks like.

Holy Bit Eaters Batman! Look at that!!
Hop 9 went completely south. If I were playing my ping in-game would be over 1000ms and there's a good chance I would DC. Too bad, It's not my router, and it's not PWE's either.

Now since I'm on the East coast, ping the east coast is cheating just a little. Let's go to the West coast, where I usually play...
