Absorb Soul question

So I was reading about the lvl 11 absorb soul about how it isn't as strong as the lvl 10 Absorb Soul because it doesn't ignore def levels once it becomes lvl 11. I was just wondering if this was still true seeing as the thread I was reading was from 2011.

If it is should I just not bother getting it lvl 11 and keeping it 10. Or put on the lvl 11 (it was a gift to me from a friend). The lvl 11 demon version for the high chance to stop someone's channel could be very useful especially with the option of demon spark and or rapid growth. But if I'm wrong please inform me. b:surrender


P.S.

I am going g16 (save the cape/neck/belt) if that makes any difference.

    If you're running around in any gear with attack levels at all, go level 11.

    Level 10 does ignore defense levels, but it doesn't count your attack levels like 11 does. And attack levels are much easier to get than defense levels. You will do more damage to everything except psys in white voodoo with level 11. (well and maybe seekers but you shouldn't be using AS against a heavy armor class anyway).
