Heaven Ravager + Helm vs Wings of Ascension + Crown of Madness

Okay so I just got my Emperor Tome and R999 Ring, so I'm looking to work on Cape / Necklace next. I've had multiple debates with multiple people on my server, and I see more and more people going for the Wings of Ascension + Crown of Madness combo on Heavy Armors on my server.

Just wondering what other servers think, or if this is a norm? I don't see much value in the 9 attack level from set bonus, but wanted to see some other views on this. I'm leaning more towards the Heaven Ravager set because of the added defense, 3% m def reduction, 4 defense level difference.

    Well tbh id go for the nw helms Because theyre way cheaper than Crown and the 9 atk lv bonus doesnt really make it worth the money!f:money And if you compare the 2 set together even if crown and wiings have better stats its not like theyre gonna make you hit take 1k less dmg.Itsmore like 100-200!

    Id go for neither because id be happy to ever get R9.3.

    But i like theorizing. Skip to the collored part if you like:

    Heaven R:
    Strength +10
    Atk. Level +3
    Def. Level +8
    Reduce Magic damage taken +3%
    Phys. Res.: +400
    Mag. Res.: +400
    Speed +0.3 meters/second
    Vitality +15
    4700HP @+12

    Crown+wings:
    Phys. Res.: +200
    Mag. Res.: +200
    Critical Hit Rate +1%
    Atk. Level +11
    Def. Level +4
    Phys. Res.: +500
    Mag. Res.: +400
    Vitality +10
    Speed +0.3 meters/second
    Reduce Physical damage taken +4%
    HP 4537
    mana 600

    Now i remove what they have in common:
    Heaven R:
    Strength +10
    Def. Level 4
    Reduce Magic damage taken +3%
    Vitality 5
    163HP

    Crown+wings:
    Critical Hit Rate +1%
    Atk. Level 8
    Phys. Res.: +300
    Mag. Res.: +200
    Reduce Physical damage taken +4%
    mana 600

    And now try giving everything % offense or defence values, then i will again remove what they have in common for the totals.
    Lets asume you have: 30k HP, 30kPdef, 12kMdef, 100Attlvl, 100deflvl, 5x attack multiplier from str,33%crit and 15% or so reduce magic/physical damage total.

    Heaven R:
    Strength +10 ==> 1,3% offence
    Def. Level 4 ==> 2% defence
    Reduce Magic damage taken +3% ==> 2,5% magic defence
    Vitality 5 ==> 0,5% defence
    163HP ==>0.5% defence

    Total:
    3.5% magic def



    Crown+wings:
    Critical Hit Rate +1% ==>0.7% offence
    Atk. Level 8 ===> 4% offence
    Phys. Res.: +300 ==> 2% phys defence*
    Mag. Res.: +200 ==> 2% magic defence*
    Reduce Physical damage taken +4% ==> 3,5% phys defence
    mana 600

    Total:
    3.4% offence
    2,5% phys def
    mana 600


    If you dont have JOSD but vit stones, the defence levels gain more significance for heaven.R. resulting in about 0.7% more defence against both phys and magic.
    It is best to check my work before investing billions :)

    *I tested on my barb that at 25-30k def range about 150 def reduces the damage you take by 1% At the 13k range, about 100 def reduces the damage you take by 1%

    Where are you getting the 1% phys def from? The HR set gives the 3% m def, whereas the other set is giving 4% phys def

    Thx to the reawakening stuff the crown of madness choice is the better one, but tbh it seems like almost ungetable unless u buy 1million packs and open them all.

    But compareing them i wouldnt say the more effort for CoM is worth it that much unless u got full nw+12 gears and josd in your armor already.

    I was asking in my fac today about this and after some disucssion i was told the if you get the crown from a pack it auto binds and cant be traded, if this is the case then i know i will never have it.
    As for people having it i have seen 3 on harshlands one on a seeker one on a wiz and one on a archer, they also have +12 r9rr with jades and +12 nw ornies and im pretty sure one or 2 of them have the robe as well, there might be more though im not sure
