Yup, Stone Rain got secretly buffed.
Sage versions channeling time went down by another 0.3 seconds to 1.3 seconds (before 1.6s) while demon still stucks at their normal 2 seconds.
Also cooldown was reduced to 3 seconds, even though it still says 6 seconds.
Probably to have the same as Gush and Pyrogram?
For damage Stone Rain in sage is actually better than Pyrogram now, faster channeling and more damage.^^
Pyrogram only wins with spark combo.Just because I don't write on forums too often, doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about.0 -

Can someone post a video of frozen flame?
Or can someone link to a pk video where someone makes use of frozen flame?0 -
Has any sage wizards been using their DB a lot lately? Does it seem like stun is going off more often now? Or am I just getting really lucky with it? I saw a mob in my DB get stunned twice in a row. Usually happens once in a while or not at all.

ON topic: I miss my GS. I always keep Stone Barrier on, so I find Frozen Flame not worth it. Damage is decent but no uber awesome. Not worth switching to other shields for 50-60% chances.0 -

Since I'm lazy I'll just quote myself from page 2 of this thread.Bromeas - Sanctuary wrote: »Second you don't need to use Pyroshell or Glacial Embrace for the status effects.
The first hit is water damage that slows the enemy definitely by the stated amount and the second hit is fire damage which has the stun chance.
So you don't need to switch shields at all, the effects work both with either shield or no shield at all.
And to sage DB, for me it seems to still stun at the same rate as before, so maybe you get lucky.Just because I don't write on forums too often, doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about.0 -

Oh sorry. I must have like skipped pass your post when skimming through all the others. I guess that's a bit more convenient.0 -
Frozen flame definitely was kinda disappointing, when I checked the damage output, but my expectations were not for an insta-kill spell, so I guess it is not that bad. Many people described it as an opener so far, but I believe that it can serve quite well also as a finisher, when you are either hunting your opponent, or just want to prevent the charm tick... Overall the skill is good, but the cooldown is ridiculous in my opinion. It would have been useful at 15 secs cooldown, as Glacial Snare but I guess this is the price we have to pay for stone rain cooldown being reduced to 3 seconds...
I am still kinda confused with the description of stone barrier bonuses... does it mean another 150% earth (for sages) and phys (for demons) defense over the ones that we already have?
Losing sandstorm and pitfall is also kinda hard trade to make, especially when the cooldown is reduced again to 10 seconds...
Anyway - in general the dmg skills look useful to me so far, but the cooldown is disappointing. Being a demon with nearly 40% crit rate already (42% after second reincarnation passives and around +780 magic), i think that the pyroshell will stack very well both in PVP and PVE.0 -

I think crit rate is awesome for wizzies. I build mine on critIf someone hates you for no reason, then give that **** a reason!b:chuckle0 -

I think crit rate is awesome for wizzies. I build mine on crit
Emperor tome + Cube badge (engraved with dex & crit) + few war avatars + 3% passive demon masteries + some dexterity ... It is quite achievable and effective today actually. b:surrender.
And being one of the last mages who went arcane from light build, I agree with you on 100% that crit rate rocks for wizzies. Especialy when every second hit you deliver becomes one.0
