Please no time limited codes trough x-mas ( p.s DoD events? )

I will be going away from 20th dec to 7th jan.
Since the in game giveaways etcetera will be rolling out at the END of december there are numerous amounts of people that spend their time with family and can't take part in these celebrations and giveaways, i am one of these, i was expecting the wholly of december to be a giveaway extravaganza and eventfull but it seems only the end as said is the part where people can actually take part in these celebrations.
so my request is please do not limit these giveawyas and events for just the end of december when most people will spend time with their families, but rather have them extend over the course of january
january seems most christmassy here in sweden anyway since that's when it snows the most. f:cute
This is just a friendly request from someone that don't want to miss out on another opportunity since i already missed out on the orb code drive.
Please show that you have compassion for those whom want to spend their christmas with family and friends

- In-game giveaways (quest based)
- Expansion launch events (plural!)
- New Holiday event!

I'm sure you can take away 5mins from your family to check the PWI news feed post for anything new. Just because your to lazy to do it, doesn't mean PWI should extend events for said lazy people.
The thing with the orb codes wasnt a drive, it was a glitch, and that's why it was shut down. You can't use that for a valid arguement.0 -

1st off. where i am going i have no way of accessing a computer with pwi on it and for what i assume of DoD's post most things will be IN-GAME related.
2nd. the orb code was ment to be a giveaway. that some glitched them does not negate the fact that several people got the accurate amount of orbs.
3rd stop being so hatefull, it's almost christmas for crying out loud.

While I agree on the fact that the events should best run all day for some weeks, I'm also meh on this. The reason is that it's very unlikely to happen.
The other MMO I play has their christmas events running 24/7 until mid january. But those are activities that are programmed to go off automatically and have a lot of thought put into them. What PWI has is mostly stuff that a GM has to trigger to start it. Just can't compare these two.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I always miss all the Christmas event since I'm always gone for a week.
Not everyone have a laptop and moving my whole computer, keyboard etc and play pwi in face of ''my'' familly is not really interesting for them.
It's the only time of the years I can't really play for a week, but it's also the time of the years without nice rewards events. (fash, charms etc..)
Could be nice if they could make the events 1 week before and 1 week after, they can do the same day, but not just that day.0 -

The *last* giveaway was a web form on the PWI website. You don't need the PW software to do that, just a plain web browser. Your smartphone can handle it. If you're going to the wilderness where phones and internet don't reach, then you should be enjoying the vacation instead of worrying about this frickin game.
as i said i'm assuming most events will be in-game related and not code drives from the web browser how can i make this any more clear than last time i wrote it?
i don't know about you but these seem pretty much 100% in-game related to me lol- In-game giveaways (quest based)

these things do not upset me, they are merely requests that i try to form for the gm's as clearly as possible to make an impact. which would be benefitial for me and many other people and regarding the ticket system i think both you and i know it's a joke and that there has been clearly much better responses and faster ones made by people taking the questions to the forums rather than sending tickets and getting automated responses.0 -
They plan the events based on the holiday time. Just because you're going to be unavailable during that time, you want them to not have them?
These are special events, specifically for the holiday. It would be illogical to have a big Christmas event in February. Christmas is at the end of December, therefore that is when the Christmas events should happen.
While it's nice that you're spending time with your family, you really can't expect that the game will delay things JUST FOR YOU so that you can participate in the events/prizes/free stuffs. That's seriously selfish and unworthy of the holiday season.If you bite some one, they get mad and smack you.
But if you lick them, you still get the flavor.

To you last point. Give me a reason why I should care that it's christmas? How do you know I celebrate Christmas? The truth is you can give me a reason to be exited for christmas other than presents and all the other **** that comes with it. Not everyone celebrates Christmas, and not everyone has to be happy THAT it is Christmas just because you think so. Are you so deluded to think you know what's good for everyone?

Seriously, PWI did that before - Codes you could use the whole year, of course not glitched meaning only one code for each account. It worked fine, so they can do it without any problems if they concentrate.
Also, as it was written before, "holiday time" isnt a certain time. For the US people it might be a few weeks only and end before january, but there are other countries were christmas is celebrated into january as well. A caring company is aware of that and keeps up those events and give-aways at least till end of january, also because many people wont be able to log in because of family visits etc . Actually,such a company wants their playerbase to receive the stuff and have fun. Its not about celebrating it. Christmas is a time were the people actually think about other peoples feelings instead of just living their own lifes. Its about being nice, and you shouldnt only be nice for christmas. It doesnt matter if you believe or not, if youre celebtrating or not. Its a holiday that brings people together, and even if you dont like celebrating it yourself you should show some respect to it. You should at least be happy that christmas is one of those holidays where many people do good things. If you really think thats something bad, then maybe you really shouldnt take those free stuff.
On topic, i missed the last codes they gave away because of missing communication and because they deleted them too fast. When i could get them, page was broken. So yeah id like them to last longer. At least the annyversary codes should be able to get the whole year, since it has nothing to do with christmas.I like potatoes <(O~O)>0 -
