Nation "Warlords" Ranking

I know others like me enter NW, goes in a battle and recognizes a face from 1 of the 3 opposing Nations and will off the bat know who are all the possible ppl in his or her squad. And will know if the threat is high or low.

Name the possible squad leaders and give a ranking with a Threat level from 1-4 (1 being the lowest, 4 being the highest) of their squad. Feel free to give written details of why you rank them so.

    Merangelus squad: threat = 3-4 (4 if whole squad is there)

    Heartz squad: threat = 3-4 (4 if whole squad there)

    Ex_tacy squad: 2-4 (4 if their whole squad is there, including all the clerics)

    The_Plague's squad: 3-4

    My own squad: 3-4 (usually 3 since rarely is our whole squad in one fight, though it can happen)

    Other than that, my squad tends to say 'we see random Relic squad' or 'Tempest squad'. Those I assign threats of 2-3.

    The other squads, if they are constant, I haven't really noticed in terms of who all the members are, though I probably recognize subconsciously that 'if I see so-and-so, this battle will be a bit more difficult than the usual battle against randoms', in which case threat automatically goes up from a 1 to a 2 or sometimes 3.

    Whether a given squad ranks as a 2, 3, or 4 depends on the type of battle. In capture the flag, for example, abundance of archers for fast flag captures will tilt your squad from a 3 to a 4. In a bridge battle, assassins and bms (help kill towers faster) tilt the score from a 3-4. In crystal contests, if your squad is split up to defend multiple crystal points, the strength of your individual members gets tested more, so a squad like Ex_tacy's that relies on good teamwork from multiple clerics seal-of-godsing and sleeping people and healing flag carrier, won't do as well when split up. However, the flip side of this is sometimes squads with individually powerful members will split up to try and take multiple lands, and sometimes fail to win any of them if the odds are a little too stacked in each battle. If that squad had stuck together, they may have easily won.

    I honestly do not pay attention to faces due to .ini edits, and the fact that some faces look quite similar to me when I have them targeted. (Ergo I find it... questionable how you all can identify with 100% accuracy that your actually facing the people you think your facing. UNLESS your right clicking and whispering them to confirm your suspicions.)

    Personally I don't care enough to right click and whisper them/pay attention to their face, if they are my opponent, even if they scare me, that wont stop me from trying to seal/immobilize/stun you AS MUCH AS possible to keep you from helping the rest of your squad. I will do everything in my power to be a thorn in your, and your squads side until one of you kill me, even if its a quick death.

    In other words I approach squads like I do individuals, as I have to kill/lock one of you down one at a time, regardless if your in a squad or not. (Though yes squads are undoubtedly harder to deal with than just a couple of random people.)

    Though even on my bm when i can stand a little bit, I very rarely get to control more than 1 person as its very rare that people that are squishy are bunched up together enough to use my aoe control skills.

    As Aeliah was saying it is very dependent if the whole squad is there or not and the type of fight. You may see a big name player or like 3 from the group, and at first think the battle will be tough but be surprised because they can not efficiently control the crystals or cover all flags.

    Personally i play with names off since day 1, so i recognize pretty much 95% of the people i know from faces, fashion and weapons when wierd weapons come in play.

    As squad leaders for powerfull squads, thats debatible, not necesarily the "leader" makes the squad, maybe only half squad is fixed and rest switches...
    I tend to gather info to see which "op" squads are with or against mine so i can know how to deal with them.

    I usually form my squad around the bridge battles, since I prefer to gain personal contribution over helping my nation win, so I am usually with a handful of assassins, another archer, barbarian, 1 bm , and the rest are random.
