A rollback would have probably been the BEST solution to this, but since its too late for that the best solution is simply not to give anyone anything. Think about this, If pwi compensated everyone that was not able to receive the reward I honestly believe this would get abused on a grander scale than before. Instead of a few people abusing +10 orbs, imagine almost everyone in all the servers abusing a +12 orb. Hell I would! Make another account get +12 orb..repeat. You would have people who used the +10 promotion also have +12 promotion.

I think its safe to say that the next pwi glitch everyone should try their best to exploit it. I feel bad being one of the few to exploit this one, you miss some you win some. A good method at hand is to keep an eye on forums even when you're not playing the game.

I feel for everyone that didn't get anything : (, personally I think pwi should do something, especially since they ended the promotion early...And all this talk about rollback should stop! It's too late for that.
Also i doubt anyone will get permanently banned from this, maybe a couple months doubt it tho. Also doubt they will find everyone...look at the goon glitch. With that stop ur whining and move on b:kiss

yeaaahhhh half true, once you start playing a long time you start to know whats allowed and whats not, what to be wary and what to jump on >> i guess its a partial benefit of those that dont ragequit, we get to 'learn'

Actually Raph, the difference with this one is that they have logs of everyone who successfully claimed the code, and the ones that have claimed it more than let's say 3 times can be easily identified and action be taken upon them.

They could even throw the log file into a parser to analyze it, and display all names that have appeared more than once, twice, three times, and so on to automate it.

But as you said, a permanent ban is highly unlikely, and in the end, once the temp bans are over, the abusers are left free of any further punishment with their abundance of event gold and +10 orbs.

Well that's good to know that there's actually a tangible way of finding the abusers, I only hope it is done thoroughly. I really wouldn't care if i get banned as long as everyone else that abused received the same punishment.
I haven't had time to play pwi (I don't think I have it installed) When i saw they were doing the code thing on forums, i sent a couple to my character not knowing it was glitched lmao.
On the bright side atleast I wont be going from +5- full +10 in 1 day, I already put in all the work, farming, money into getting +10/+12 the hard way lol, so all this glitch really did for me was give me hp charms to pk, plus Im pretty sure ill never switch my armor or weapon and I don't play alts so... lol

broken game is broken. abusers get billions in orbs+event gold, and others get nothing.

If you see an armor truck drop a bag of money and the bag opens in the middle of the road people will stop to grab as much money as they can. Maybe some of us wont because we know is not our money, but the majority will. This is not a problem that came from the user for using the code so many times, this is a problem of the programmer that did not put limitations on the code. You cannot take short cuts when it comes to the magnitude of players in this game. You cannot just post a single code for thousands of players to use, you need to create independent codes for each player you would like to compensate or send a gift to (which they have done many times before). You may say, well hell this is a lot of work, but it avoids problems like this. Perfect World's gifts for the players is money they could have pocketed but instead, and of course as a marketing strategy, they gave away thousands of dollars worth of items that they could have sold. I greatly appreciate all gifts that Perfect World has given me and even though I was one of those people that did not get a chance to get the last so called +10 orbs or what ever it was, I am here to play the game and that's it. All extras are just appreciated.

2x of everything is on, I have 6 days off now, and I've closed both clients. -Pretty sure I'm done. This company is run like the one I'm working for atm, and well one is easier to leave atm.

If it's to have the goodies removed from the loophole abusers, it will be all good.

A ban won't work. A warning neither. Leaving them as is would be the worst outcome.
A rollback would punish all and lead to massive leaving.

True, Only real way to fix this is just remove the dragon orbs form them and their refines.
Banning Perm is fat chance, but people with 3+ orbs coming back is so unbalanced.

Nw is already tougher and less people now.b:surrender
