"Could not retrieve character list" error Follow Up

Ok, this is to those who still can't login to their account. I just received an Email from PWI tech support "claiming" the problem is solved...

It isn't. I still can't log in, still the same "Could not retrieve character list" error. I've sent in another ticket, but I want to know, did you received the same email? Is your problem fixed?

I expected the popularity of PWI to wane over the time, and lose their player base to newer competitors eventually. But I would NEVER have expected them to do it in such a spectacular fashion. Talk about blunder after blunder after blunder! This isn't even close to shooting themselves in the foot. This is like what happened in the movie Saw! With all the elaborate setups and traps and psychological traumas, except after they are done, they chain their own ankle to the pipes! Truly, it boggles me the sheer imcompetence of their "engineers". To this day, I still don't understand how a "quick reset" can lead to a whole server roll back...
