The code should only be use in Arch but ppl are buying the code super cheap and using it on different server, some got it just because they have the account in arch (but did not play during the rollback requirement time - I asked many). Using the code elsewhere is against ToS policy, because this will mess up the economy in different server. All of the sudden, mass amount of player have cheap access to Ocean orb... To fix this, the only fair solution is to place Dragon Ocean Orb on sell @ 10 golds each for a day or 2...

It isn't against ToS. There was a GM post that said they were usable on any server of your choice...Read before you make useless topics.

I guess it's debatable wether or not it falls under this category of the ToS:

(m) trade, sell, auction or otherwise transfer any virtual items or goods of any nature outside the game;

But that's up for interpretation...

Selling the code for ingame coin might be up for interpretation, but if you say it counts as a non-ingame good (and therefore not allowed to be bought/sold with coins) then I would think you run the risk of at the same time implying you're allowed to buy/sell it with real money, which they almost definitely don't want to do. Using the code on other servers is certainly not a ToS violation.

Also, just no. Putting orbs on sale for 10G would slaughter the economy even more. These orbs are bound, can only be used on bound gear, and most of the selling seems to have died down a bit.

That refers to account selling and other in game stuff for real cash. Along with the intention the gms had that the items can be redeemed on any server and the fact that it is a promotion code, not actual goods, invalidates your point.

It implies trading ANYTHING AT ALL outside of the game for whatever reason and by whatever means not just selling for real cash.

The codes itself are redeemed on a website, not in the game, thus it is obtained from outside of the game, in a sense, but it doesnt make sense explaining it... lol.

It's like... a loophole thingy

In the end you are trading a virtual good (the orb) through means outside of the game; you are selling your code (not in the game) for in game coins (within the game) so someone else can redeem this code.

But like I said it's up for interpretation and the entire statement is too vague to make anything concrete out of it, but that's what all ToS's are like...

It's not like they will do anything with it anyway cause they'd end up banning half the server b:chuckle

Just pointing it out that it's too vague of a term to be able to say anything concrete about it

So then everyone should get banned for trading stuff in game at once! The gs should be fired for even having a trade option in game ... all need to burn!

Read what I wrote carefully again;

So technically/theoretically you ARE trading a virtual good from PWE outside of the game because the orb is not in game yet, it's the code that yields access to it, which remains outside of the game until used and is in the player's possesion who wishes to sell it for ingame coin, it's hard to explain otherwise lol b:surrender

It's like... the reverse of selling in-game items for real life cash...

Like I said, the ToS is vague and doesn't mention anything about currency or what and what is not included with the virtual goods...

my brain is starting to malfunction thinking about this...

Anyway like I said, it's unlikely PWE will do anything with it anyway... But remember, people have been banned for more stupid reasons than this could/would be lol

If you read the ToS, it also states they can ban anyone for whatever reason whatsoever whenever they want...
