SoR Question

So Soul of Retaliation is a pretty darn cool skill. I also hate it as a bm, since it makes initial stunlocking much harder, hahaha. =)

Anyway, so the question is this:
If I as a bm throw roar or hf at your SoR, does it reflect in AoE fashion, and hit all of my surrounding allies too, or does it only reflect on me?

    If you roar, the psy will get stunned and sor will never be used (can only work when damage is applied). Dragons however would return it just to the bm (it will not be aoe).

    SoR needs to return damage that you can see in damage log.

    It only reflects on the caster; an AOE is not AOE in reflection

    Don't DG a group with a psy in it if you're not IG'd

    So if SoR only reflects damage you can see in your damage log, do Blade Tornado or similar attacks bypass it as well?

    Yes, skills like BT/Absorb Soul bypass it... The former can still be resisted by Psychic Will though.

    And you should be able to resist Absorb Soul with Faith/Belief b:victory

    Another skill that seems to ignore SoR is myriad sword stance

    Even if the initial hit is thrown off or the stun negated, the debuff to their attack still gets though so they won't be able to hit as much

    As far as I know though that only works demon MSS

    It might be the 50% stun chance linked to the demon skill, if not I'm not really sure what else it could be b:laugh

    So another question on SoR:

    If an archer auto-attacks on a SoR and procs a purge at the exact same time, does the purge get reflected to him (as I recall, souls don't get purged, correct?), or does only the damage get reflected and the purge hits the psy?

    The absolute lamest thing evar. For a psy with SoR up I tend to approach with antistun like wings of grace and go for stunning arrow, which reflects but doesnt stun and still gives me a crit boost. SoR is off so I can safely use will surge and QS etc. Kite when anti stun wears off.
