Deity vs JoSD on Mystics

Which do you think is stronger on a R9rr mystic? Which would you go for?

R9rr mystics have the highest base magic attack of all AA classes, and since they have +100 magic as well, it shoots their magic attack to 30k+ base. I'm thinking a full deity mystic would actually be pretty damn effective combined with absorb soul/lucky break/gale force etc, especially when we're getting 5k+ ticks on falling petals.

    Deity shards would be kind awesome with the insane attack, But i think a mix of both shards would be better >_> So you don't get shotdown while channeling that overpowered absorb soul or running into a group of people with lucky gale force..... :D But Golden Soulgems are the best. Go with the Golden Soulgems.

    Mystics actually get the same evasion per pt of dex that archers get.

    My thoughts are that mystics are one of the lowest-range caster classes (tied with veno). So archers and other casters will be hitting you before you hit them. You need to be able to take a hit more than you need to be able to dish it out.

    That's what our petals are for. It's basically a dps - friendly accelerated version of Ironheart, 1.5s gives us 5k ticks every 3 sec. Only annoying thing about it is that it only lasts 9 sec.

    I'll admit though without JoSD or defense shards, it'll be extremely hard to trust my char to survive till I get a tick, so I might end up wasting dps on BiTC anyway.
