Why won't anyone boot the bots, I can't name shame which means I can't warn people of the bots...just pi$$es me off that i bust my hump farming (what little i can get) and some players just use f***ing bots...why won't anyone boot these hackers?b:angry

    Agreed. Permaban the bot AND the main account and not only permaban but delete all characters on the account.

    I think the main issue is PWE wants your money but doesn't invest in hiring people to actually enforce the ToS, because "its too hard to prove who is a bot." This however is complete BS. It's so easy to tell a bot (sins and venos especially) that an eggplant could do the job.

    Im looking at the price of apoth and i actually want more people to bot and bring down the price of those herbs b:cry

    Its like the immigrants coming to work to our western countries. We can all QQ about how they take our jobs, but they do the work noone wants to do.

    This is 1/3 serious, 1/3 cynical, 1/3 sarcastic. I dont really know myself.

    What i really would like probably is for the bots to be banned but the herbs to produce not 1 or 2 but 5-10 items when you dig them or the amount needed to make pots significantly reduced.
    Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.

    getting 5-10 herbs per dig would slash the price but then it would make people bot all the more so they can gather more to make up the difference in pricing, and not to mention that if they made each herb you dig give you 5-10 they would make the apo ingrediant required to make certian things probaly double or even tripple....no the best solution is to purge the servers of all bots, and same for immagrants....both are parasites that leach and steal from the hard working player.

    Well actually... you probably should not name shame, and can not here on the forums... but you most certainly can name shame them in world chat (wc) in game... aint no one gonna stop you from doing so unless you spam too much... And if they are not bots, they will most certainly challenge such accusations in wc... and you will be made to look like the boy that cried wolf... so make accusations in that manner while treading lightly...

    I mean really... who is doing anything to stop these bots? and botting is against tos... name shaming in game aint gonna be any different, and might catch gm's attentions...

    I don't care if there is people boting to farm herbs, why?

    1.- Because not enough people do it, and someone has to do it.
    2.- Their impact on the economy is not negative. I see as positive because we actually have enough herbs to make our pots, and the prices for pots or herbs hasn't skyrocketted or plummetted.

    if it was only herbs...the bot situation on the EU server is way worse, even after a huge wave of bans they just came back...and when you see the gear of those ppl, you would puke :c

    Bots's farming DQ and making hundreds of millions DQP.
    And then there some tradable items from that DQ list...

    BAN THOSE PEOPLE ONCE AND FOR ALL !

    But nobody care's. In german forum someone even posted the link to the bot program.
    Nobody removed it, I belive after 6 month its still there.
    Its a really a shame.

    DQ bots need to be banned, and anyone who trades with them or purchases/sells to their shop should be banned as well

    What we need to do is organise Blade Runner squads who will do detailed investigation with Voight-Kampff test on all players .. after determing that somoene is replicant we need to purge him asap .. how can we know that Mazumii isnt replicant!

    relating inmigrants wiht bots isnt nice, and it is totally out of context here. this is a game. inmigrant problems is diferent and it can be a very good discusion we can have in private.

    Cant beleive u guys related iligal inmigrants to ppl that use bots. or u guys are too young or just say the first think that came into ur mind.

    Going bk to the topic, Bots not only farm herbs. and there was always ppl that enjoyed farminbg herbs. it was a very good way to make coins in game. but since bots came, they just got frustrated. why they wont perma ban main acounts/bots? couse pwi idea is to stop all profitable ways in game that can make a player reach same goals as a cash players. they want us to pay them (think it is not wrong neither bad) but ofc it will be against their slogan, f2p. instead of make this game p2p, they rather make it free to log in, but once u are inside u might need to pay to reach what u would like in game. thats their idea.

    I think it is an OK comparison as it may make people think about both issues. I kind of like that; to take important issues and hint at them in some insginificant game discussion. Hoping that maybe i can help people realise the stupidity of xenophobia as well while they are thinking about the real effects bots have on the economy. Unexpected statements help making people think. You dont need to be young for that really.

    Maybe you are young and easilly but-hurt or thinking it makes you mature when you walk on eggshells and avoid any slightly sensitive subject in a not very serious setting b:laugh

    How can you even know who is bot? When I go to look for mats or herbs, someone think I am a bot? Or is it because some people who collect herb, don't talk? Or they stand in the same spot until the same herb/mat spawns? I just don't get it. There are people who are maybe lazy to walk all over the Perfect World map. Or just don't want to talk to you.

    Sadly I have to concur with above, not enough people farm herbs and sell them to people so the bots that do it are a big help to whoever is in need of apoth and materials.


    If the herbs you needed dropped like 5-10 each as stated above then much more people would be inclined to do it because than the farming would be reasonable, in PWI farming is totally ridiculous you need an ungodly amount of mats for anything and obtaining those mats is difficult enough. So let the bots be b:bye unless pwe makes a radical change

    Issue with the herb availability is most likely the low reward vs time invested. Example: On Morai you can sell T3 metal for 2000-2500 a unit. A T3 herb will go for 500 if you're lucky. So half price for the time invested to mine them. It surprises me to be honest, since the regen-over-time items can be quite handy in instances or even in bossfights. 10 minutes of 100 mana/sec even in combat state would be (60*10*25 =) 15000 mana for just a single item. For a cleric doing blue bubble and not even entering combat state, it would mean you could hold the aura for 10 minutes straight.

    I've up to now not had much of a problem obtaining materials. It's probably the people that farm dungeons nonstop, or PvPing nonstop that keep running low on apothecary stuff. I've seen a few bots in my time (and people with other ToS violations, such as people multiboxing blatantly with over 4 toons) - usually I make a few screenshots and submit a support ticket. I get the feeling they do act on it if you provide them with -all- the info they need to act on it. Had a bot farming T3 herbs near Hill of the King (near them Pyrogolts) for days, much to my annoyance since that's where I usually grab herbs when running a bounty there... Reported it, a few days later it wasn't there anymore.

    Reminds me I need to file another report on a multiboxer.

    impossible since blue ball puts you into combat mode, every continuous skill like that does, including the sin self heal

    most "t3" herbs just make **** apo, some t4 and most t5 are worth a lot more

    I've often wondered how and why so freaking many catshops are up cpmpared to active toons I see running about. I refuse to believe that 90% the player base dual/trio clients multiple catshops the majority of the day

    there is a tool/bot that allows you to run a catshop without opening a client and it only uses a few mb ram.

    i am not allowed to name and shame but lets say the leader of a very successfull faction on Morai used to have up to 15 shops at once. everyone knew it but nothing ever happened.

    Why there are more shops than active players ? Simple. I am not the only one who dual clients 1 shop that is on 24/7 and the other client i am playing about 50% of the time and if not, it is also often a catshop. So that makes a 3:1 shop/player ratio.
