    I'd love this to be true, but it sounds like it's just a suggestion at the moment. I really hope I'm wrong and this is in fact in development. I personally would love to see a kind of creepy looking class. Although, not sure how it would play out, but still.

    Looking into it, it's info pulled randomly, and you can't even tell that it's directly PW related aside from where they stuck it.

    I haven't been able to find any other data to substantiate any of it, AND there still the issue with the 10 class limit in the code.

    The whole thing looks more like it's just smoke and mirrors.

    Well if this does pan out, I'll be deleting my Sin, Seeker, and possibly Veno if I actually want to try all four classes.

    If the dancer is gonna be like the Bard in FW, then it could be really fun considering how much better PW is about things like MP recovery.

    Phantom sounds fun too, in the completely made up version in my head b:chuckle

    If they can manage to get me to stop playing mystic then they will have to be awesome classes.

    Of course if they ARE awesome, I'll probably need to stop playing mystic as no one will bother taking me in a squad. Not so unlike now actually b:surrender

    True, it's basically just rumors for now. I obtained this information a week or two ago from the Japanese blog that I visit for latest updates. It should be noted, however, in the numerous other major patches w/ content or expansions, the blogger was pretty spot-on. One way or another we will find out through time, whether these are false-positives and people are thinking too much into this, or if they are indeed real.

    I will say that if they are real, the gun-wielding class won't fit into any lore of the game. Then again, either did some of the other things added in the last few years. I actually don't mind, though. As it stands, I have every class 100+ now, and maxed on skills w/ quite good gear + 2 BMs and 2 seekers 100+. I'd really like to work on new classes and learn some new game mechanics that are brought to the table... If any.

    Time will tell! :)

    I don't think that will be happening. I don't even know if having more character slots is possible with the client or server. I could be wrong, but I recall Frankie stating they couldn't do it for the EG expansion quite some time ago. As much as I would also like to see more slots added, I doubt it will happen. My best suggestion is to have multiple accounts - but the obvious downside to that is the gear that is bound can't be transferred via the account stash.

    what they are saying is that a expansion has been confirm with new map and instance and fashion. so the image would be either the new class or new instance.

    If it turns out to be true I'll be really surprised but maybe Wanmei still cares about this game and will put the effort to expand it. I just hope, should this be all true, that it's going to be a good expansion though. Not broken one...the recent content update we had was pretty bad (bugs, glitches, broken things).

    Of course it's possible. Might take more development than they're willing to use, but it's possible.

    The 10 classes client limitation was never admitted by PWE; our community member - SylenThunder found out about this limitation and posted it publicly. But yes, with enough restructuring the client's code, it's hypothetically possible to overcome these limitations.

    Yes, I base that limitation on the code currently embedded in the system files.

    Is it possible to add more? I'd be willing to bet that it is.
    However, I don't have a lot of faith in Wanmei's current development team in actually figuring out how to change enough of the base code to make it happen. I mean, they still haven't been able to make new flyers upgradeable, or even to copy the tree movement from the original areas.

    Later I'll have to poke around and see if any of the private server dev's I know have manged to pull it off. To my knowledge they haven't yet either.

    If gunner turns out as the name implies... *waves bye bye to pwi* ... I am not saying it will die, but for me it would.

    I fell in love with medieval type games, and if guns were to be implmented it would so just downright kill every bit of alure this game still has on me... which quite francly isn't much at all at the moment. (Yes I realize motorcycles essentially did the same thing, but motorcycles I can handle especially since I so very rarely see anyone on them.)

    I already have full lists on {3-servers} as it sits (Since I'm ultimately gonna try and level up (1-sage and 1-demon of each class) not to mention K'shop characters >b:cry< last thing I need to do now is startup another list on a 4th-server.....b:surrender



    And>>PS: No I don't multi-client (never wanted to) but it seems like I may have to soon, if {PWC} doesn't get their heads out of the clouds and raise the character lists numbers soon...

    I won't lie - I would love a bard class. (baaards<3) Yet, at the same time I'm really doubtful about more classes, how would you make new classes that isn't a copy of the ones we already have and/or OP?

    But if done right? Sure, why not. And the horns on those sketches look really amazing. I'd love to play a race with cool horns.

    Looks intresting,

    Ill clear 1 thing up tho...

    The system cant take on any more spaces for more chars. the reason for this is because you get given a player range when you sign up. You cant go over this limit as that would go into someone else account.

    For example if i signed up to the server as player it does this

    5 - First player / Six Char
    6 - Heero / First char
    7 - Heero / Second Char
    8 - Heero / Third Char
    9 - Heero / fourth Char
    10 - Heero / Fith Char
    11 - Heero / Six Char
    12 next player / first Char

    Again System limitations. same as the Name Change Problem... so its possible to fix. My example would be to put a 00 on the front of this. IE 8-01 random i know but hey....

    And 1 thing PW... dont destroy the Game with the new classes make sure you mantain the game!

    Well truth be told according to foreign history China had already developed and had been using gun power even back in the medieval ages. So this wouldn't really surprise me if they had put something like that in the game, as long as they can make tie in with the game's lore.

    This games lore is largley unknown or ignored by the player base from what I see. I have never once talk to anyone or heard anyone talk about this games lore so I doubt lore is a pressing concern.

    Guess I'm just an older gamer that actually reads game lore LOL. Since the people that write the lore for games take the time to come up with and work on something like that I figure the least I can do it read it.

    Guns tend to be underpowered or average in fantasy games, if they exist that is.

    I can't think of any fantasy game that treats guns with some degree of realism.

    ^Was wondering when that was going to come up. We've had fashion and even some NPCs who look way more modern than this world's setttings and no one bats an eye...

    Before this thread gets into "what fits" into PWI lore, let me restate one important thing...

    At this time, it is all rumor and speculation!

    Nothing has been official, just various web sites posting odds and ends from game files, artists conceptual drawings and pure imagination.

    While I did post what I've found in "net land" I am smart enough to preface what is posted by stating that this isn't official.

    It is fun to speculate, keep up with PWCH (and others) and share our wants. But til Bubbles puts up an expansion guide, it isn't forum official.

    We may get new races, new maps (underwater worlds is another rumor), new fashion and it would be great for adding life to this game.

    On the other hand, this may all be pure bovine **** and end up with an expansion with more packs, more really ugly fashion designed by a blind drag queen and an all class pet "Mr Hankey the Christmas poo".

    The whole 'characters slots cannot be increased' is a little fishy to me, and let me tell you why: when they merged the 2 European servers, I had made a multitude of characters on both servers; when Morai came out, I had a list of 11 characters on that server. I find this interesting.
