Username is invalid?

Upon trying to create a new account, no matter what username I put in it gives me the error: username is invalid.

They start with a letter...

whats the issue?

    It has GM or some other restricted number/letter combination in it. Limit the use of special characters also. If it's not on a US 101-key keyboard, it's likely not valid.

    They restricted the use of a lot of special characters that are on a US 101 keyboard, also.
