The rules WERE changed, as result of people of the OP's mindset.
Also, "PvP servers" are just normal servers nothing changed or special about them. They work the way they were intended by this game's creators.

"PvE servers" are an actual thing.
They are an altered version of the game with content removed for a western audience.

You can't convince me or any logic minded individual that the OP needs staff intervention.
He has blacklist
He has instances
He has safe zone
He has map areas too large to single out an individual through use of a false friend's friendslist.
He has the ability to turn blue name in less than 1/7th the minimum recommended wait time for a ticket (2 hours over a full night sleep).

All of these resources to deal with a situation he willingly chose to put himself into.

I'm sorry, but staff has better much more important things to deal with than this sort of pathetic b-tching which will already have been resolved by the time they even arrive at the ticket.

People like this are why pertinent issues don't receive expedient support.

I don't enter these topics expecting to change anyone's view point on broadened subjects such as the decision to PK in general. There are rules against the type of harassment that OP is experiencing if he's being hunted down and killed constantly through game play, and regardless of how you believe it should happen, the word has already been dictated over it. I don't see how you can ignore the actual topic of this thread and jump straight into "ITS HIS DECISION TO PK DEAL WITH IT." Its not about him PKing, its about someone literally following him to make gameplay impossible, and that deserves some sort of staff-intervention, especially if they want his money - which I assure you, they do.

I spent levels 30 to 100 fighting constantly as i quested every single day. There were no hypers. There were no BHs until i hit about 80

I had to be a freakin ninja to get anything turned in to heavens tear. Swamps and Tusktown were constantly swarmed with higher level attackers. We formed pvp squads to defend each other in order to get through secret passage.

And you guys want to QQ about dying when you chose to go white name?

no its been an issue that has been intervened by staff in the past for excessive harassment, a couple times. Your experiences on the LC server is the path you chose, and sucking it up is not an accomplishment like you write it out to be like some grandpa. Just cause you had to suck it up doesnt mean he has to too. b:chuckle

Yes it's true, but some people go so far that they will pm from 100 alts and make other people pm too, BL have a limit, but it doesn't seems like it was a issue with the OP.

So someone that get harass should stay in Safe Zone constantly and cannot go do his dailies like GBQ or Morai?

To top it off he is on a server where in order to be killed or attacked you must choose to make yourself attackable, and when you do it is not permanent.

To change back to no PK mode you need to wait 10 hours, it's maybe not the case of the OP here, but venomancers don't have the choice to turn in PK mode for the venomancer instance to evolve their pets.

My 2 cents on the thread is that the OP chose to do some "pk" meaning he actively turned white name in order to attack and be attacked be other players outside of safe zone. To me if they feel like they have been harassed in anyway they don't seem to have taken any steps to stop it themselves and are now crying out for their attacker to be banned...

The map is rather large, there are many cities to hide in and using a teleport to another town will in most cases be enough to lose someone that is following you. The exception is if they are on your friends list. I don't condone harassment but if you willingly put yourself in a situation to be killed then you are likely to be killed. Judging from the OP there was only killing involved, no name calling or threats.

I think the majority of people in the thread understands this concept very well. If you're going PK, expect to be killed. No one is arguing that fact. The only difference being how people would handle the 'harassment' that OP is possibly experiencing. Stalking, repeated killing, hindrance from gameplay are against the rules and thus should be handled by staff to prevent these things from happening. Its not being 'soft' or 'carebear' in this case - its the player telling the offender to stop it or they will be reported.

There is such a thing as taking it too far, and from what I see on WC sometimes in some servers [ Raging Tides is a big example of this ] the active PvPers on there have serious issues and would be a nightmare for any PvPer to experience with. I wouldn't be surprised if they did went so far as to target one person to repeatedly kill over and over again from their catfights displayed on WC for all of the server to see.

And then what is the victim to do in a situation like that? "You went PK, so expect this. Expect our crazy to ramsack all over your face and keep you from playing period. There's nothing you can do until 10 hours are up." Hell, I'd report immediately.

If your questing and hes keeping you from doing so by killing you more the 3 times in the same place the its called camping and yes he can be banned. if your just there wating for some one eles to kill and get killed your slef then its your fult.

I can understand the points from both sides and yes if it is taken too far then there needs to be away to deal with it. The OPs post is very vague and mentions nothing about questing or doing anything other than standing out in pk spot in stealth waiting for someone to kill. Until this is elaborated on I stand by my point that in this situation there is plenty of things that could have been done to avoid it - mainly moving to a new spot.

If someone is moving from spot to spot, chasing people down, repeatedly killing them and stopping them from questing/enjoying the game then yes I totally agree a ticket is the best course of action and something should be done to stop the harassment.

Here in New Zealand most primary and secondary schools do not allow students to be involved in activities that involve tackling such as bullrush/rugby during lunch breaks. Of course they still have the normal sports teams where people can participate in these after school hours etc.

And my bad, I forgot I had read the rest of the thread where he said he had moved. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I find it hard to believe someone can teleport to a new area and have the person track them down immediately. I know it is possible and that there are certain individuals in this game that would harass people for their own enjoyment so yeah b:surrender

Oh I was under the impression you were talking about organized team sports. I think the big issue these days with kids having full contact sports at recess (or even in gym class for that matter) is a liability issue that the school can be sued if something happens to the student for allowing something to happen. Granted not everyone is going to sue (not every harassed pker will report it) the implications of fault on part of the school are there. Even if it was Joe Schmoe that broke Johny Boy's arm in a game of tackle foot ball at recess, the school is at risk of being held liable. Since its a state run facilty - that is money coming out of the state's pocket to pay for Johny's arm injury if litigation were to ensue.

Basically it is a case of "not allowed" so that people can cover their ***** from liability.
