Hello everyone!

Okay, so I wanted to try out a cleric because yeah, I like to buff random people. ;D
And I have always played support in EVERY game I've played.

Since I am in the Lost City server I was wondering if I should go LA or AA.. :/

So peeps, what is your opinion? Light or Arcane? :3

Thanks for the replies!b:chuckle

LA broken bow cleric for stealth buffs ftw :b

LA makes a bit of sense on a mage if you benefit from crit; since it appears that you want to be a healing/support cleric crit is pointless. therefore an AA vit build will provide you the same tradeof with LA (And you can fine tune when you want to stop trading attack for defences)

So I'll just go with AA hp sharded gears and physical ornaments? :3

    Do you plan to PVP/TW?

If no than go AA, if yes than it's your choice, you could also just go AA with a hybrid vit build. (please don't listen the morons that say that a vit build, LA or HA cannot do their job, they can with a bit of work)

Usually AA shard in garnet and get hp with refines, at lower lvl it's not a huge deal, but at lvl 100 with the gears that will be your end game, shard with garnet or if your hp is low than 4 pieces garnet and 2 cit if really and when you get more refine you can replace the cit by garnet.

    For PVP/TW p.def>hp.

If you speak about the farming I think then it doesn't matter. xD

while I haven't tested it very much, based on my scores in white vs black voodoo I'd say that points are based only on hp loss and not defences (at least not defence levels)

Don't bother with LA unless you're prepared to sink a lot of money into a char or you're acc stashing an already really good LA set (g16 +10 or something) from a main or something.

who cares? go r8r def level wep 100 vit cleric; all you need at endgame is BB and chroma anyways /sarcasm

no really tho BP heals faster with BB on and the APSers at work

Full AA with physical ornies will see you to a decent level of clericing c:
Even in PvP, with Bell and the increased P.Def from Shining pills (Just rebuff over the magic buff <:) You'll have a decent amount of P.Def to throw around.

Personally, I wouldn't sacrifice magic attack for P.Def and HP, and that's worked out quite nice for me. In saying that, I have statted ~40 vit and 54 str. I still sit very comfortably at 520 something mag. I carry a +Magic necklace and belt when I feel as if my squad needs the extra boost to 551 magic, though.

Just my two cents, good luck, and yay for more LC clerics! f:cute
    My squishiness is (Usually) unrivaled.

    Olli ;o

For PVP I'd say just go with AA because you WILL need R93rd with p.def or josd shards to be competitive, especially in a pvp server. All my chars with G16 can only "mess around" haha!

For PVE, AA with HP shards will work fine, unless you have LA armor to stash over. If you need to farm gears, might as well just farm the AA.

Yay for another cleric, though I no longer play the game my cleric is bye bye for now b:shedtear

Really? You carry orns just to up your magic? Interesting concept however there isn't really anything in this game that would require more than the 520+ magic that you already have so I am not sure what sort of squads you are running with that absolutely need a boost from 30 magic points.

To the OP, it is a well know fact that LA is the worst gear in the game. So unless you already have a decently refined set to stash over I would suggest going with the AA option with the pdef orns.

    First off, healer high-five! b:pleased
Support and healing classes are always wonderful to have around. =)

Anyways, more pertinent to your question, whether you go LA or AA really does depend on your end goal. Since you enjoy playing support and such, I would suggest going AA, since the added magic will increase the potency of your heals, increase the time you can BB, and give you a larger mana pool for the necessities of healing.
Granted, you are on Lost City, so the PvP will mean that many melee classes will target you, so the added phys defense will help early on. However, if you don't mind working with a squad or just dodging tough people for a while, in the endgame both LA and AA have a decent amount of phys def due to phys ornies.
Considering both, AA would probably be more suitable to your playstyle and you may get more enjoyment out of it from the better capabilities to heal and such (the build is also easier), so that is what I would suggest. Best of luck! b:victory
